Graphic Design Internship – Summer 2011

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Creative Department is seeking an experienced
design student interested in a summer internship. Through this program, interns get hands-on
experience in a professional Graphic Design environment while working through challenging and
creative projects. The intern will be assisting staff with a special media project requiring
photography and video production. The intern may also create original design work ranging from
small projects to larger print campaigns and assist with updating design and content for new and
existing projects producing press-ready files.

Key Activities Include:


• Photography
• Scanning images for media project
• Organizing media (meta tag data included)
• Video/Animation project set-up
• Designing print projects (posters, ads, etc.)
• Providing assistance on project edits

Qualifications:
• Proficient knowledge of design/media software such as: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator,
Final Cut Pro; and basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premier
• Basic knowledge of video and animation
• Ability to operate photographic equipment
• Ability to take direction and offer creative ideas
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be within one year of graduation and/or have two years of design education
experience

Hours and Pay:


• Day-shift position working 8 hours
• Pay $15.50 per hour
