NIST Year 6 - How We Organise Ourselves

Summative and Ongoing Assessment 2010

Central Idea:
Being organised empowers us to achieve.
An inquiry into:
 The organisation of self and groups.
 Organisational tools, attitudes and actions that determine success.
 The relationship between organisation and achievement.

Function: Thinking about the central idea for this unit, I now understand that organisation…needs
focus, determination and every other thing that other people use to achieve their goals on being
organized.

Between September 29 - October 8 2010 my ability to organise myself has…improved a little bit
more than last year or any other year.

Action: One of the goals I set myself was…to be more organized with the time I sleep because I
used to be really careless and my mind would just fly away and I usually would sleep at 11p.m. be-
cause of this habit.

Reflection: I achieved/did not achieve this goal because…I achieved this goal because I pleaded
with my father to tell me the time for the first few days and after I got used to sleeping at that
time, I started doing it daily and I guess that is why everyday I wake up in the morning feeling
grumpy and having to hear my father screaming and shouting at me to go and eat my breakfast
faster.
Responsibility: What have you learned in this unit that may help you in the future?
Being organized empowers us to achieve because being organized means having stuff done faster
and easier.
