Dear Richard Winn Families:

It is once again time to nominate new members to the PTO Board. We have six positions to be filled for
the term 2011-2014. Members of the PTO Board are responsible for assisting in the promotion of the
school, providing recognition of student achievement, and supporting academic programs financially
(primarily through fundraisers).

The PTO Board consists of twelve members, ten parents and two teachers (one lower and one high
school). The Board meets on a monthly basis during the academic year and the meeting time is most
often less than one hour. New Board Members will be considered and voted upon at the April Board
meeting. The May Board meeting will consist of exiting, new, and returning members. Executive Board
Members (officers) will be voted upon at the May meeting and assume their leadership roles June 1st.
According to PTO By-Laws, a Board member shall not be re-elected once his/her term has expired for
two years.

The PTO Board is seeking nominations to fill SIX seats that will be vacating because of expiring terms.

PTO Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings and be available to assist in the various
activities supported by PTO (ie…teacher appreciation luncheons, fundraisers, Santa Shoppe, Field Day,
and Awards Day/Academic Banquet). If you are willing to serve and give of your time and talents on the
RWA PTO Board, please complete the bottom portion of this letter and return it to school before April
1st. All nominations will be voted upon at the April 4th PTO meeting via secret ballot.
