SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN TEACHING AND TESTING LITERATURE

I. OBJECTIVE
 Activate background knowledge to better understand a text
 Guess the meaning of idiomatic expressions by noting keywords in
expressions, context clues, collocations, and clusters
 Determine the author’s tone and purpose for writing the story
 Discover through literature the links between one’s life and the lives of
people around him

II. LESSON PROPER


Pre-reading

 The teacher will show the students pictures of three little pigs and ask
them what they can remember about this story when they were little.

While-reading

 The teacher will group the class into 2. The first group will be given
the Story Grammar and the other group will be given the Follow the
Character chart they have to fill out using the text they read.

Post reading
 The teacher will ask the students to stay in their groups and
dramatize the story in the beginning, middle and last part of the story.
