IDM Internship Position Description

Center for Information Technology in Education (CITE)

Position Title: Multimedia Developer

Purpose of Position: Design and develop multimedia educational software for faculty and staff.
An opportunity for practical experience in applying skills learned in IDM
course work and to be creative and learn new skills within a team
environment.

Duties and
Responsibilities: Assist with the design and development of multimedia educational software
utilizing a wide variety of hardware and software packages. Will work
directly with a Northwest faculty as client on specific project for online
course work. Will work with CITE staff on projects in a team
environment.

Expected: Communications:
Communicate technical information in user-friendly terms and language.
Have well-developed written and oral communication skills.

Computer Hardware / Software:


Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of software design tools, specified below
Knowledge of Windows XP operating systems
Knowledge of scanners, digital cameras, CD-ROM recorders, and digitizing
video equipment

Self-Directed Learning:
Ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks through
independent learning

Personal/Social Development:
Exhibit professionalism and courtesy
Exhibit positive customer relations skills

Team Work/Team Leading:


Ability to work in a team environment

Internship:
Qualifications IDM major
In-depth skill with graphic design tools including two or more of the
following: Flash, Director, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere
Knowledge of web page design and HTML authoring
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages
Attention to detail
