ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Magazine Editorial Assistant

DUTIES: This position allows a Northwest sophomore, junior or senior to become

involved in many aspects of a four-color, 40- to 56-page magazine distributed
twice a year to 50,000 Northwest alumni. The successful candidate(s) will
interview Northwest personnel and alumni, write articles for the magazine and
its website, proofread, fact check, pick photos, write cutlines and perform
other duties associated with the day-to-day creation of a magazine. The
individual should possess excellent interpersonal skills, pay close attention to
detail, feel comfortable conducting face-to-face and telephone interviews, be
responsible and have above-average writing skills.

Journalism and public relations majors are encouraged to apply.

DATE
NEEDED: Summer 2011 or Fall 2011 (2 positions available per trimester)

HOURS: About 150 hours per trimester (8 to 10 hours per week)
