Dear Learner,

I am glad to inform you that the 22nd Convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Open
University is likely to be held in the month of March, 2011. The main function will be
held at New Delhi for awarding gold medals, degrees and diplomas to the eligible
candidates and simultaneously at its Regional Centres (listed over-leaf) through
teleconferencing.

You are one of the candidates declared to have passed University programme in
December 2009/June 2010 and found eligible to receive the Degree/Diploma at this
Convocation. You may exercise your option either to receive the Degree/Diploma
Certificate in person at the Convocation or by post in absentia and in either case a non-
refundable sum of Rs.350/- Per Degree Certificate towards Registration Fees is to be
paid along with your consent letter by way of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of
IGNOU and payable at New Delhi.

The details of the programme of the Convocation would be communicated to you later.
Please fill in the enclosed proforma and it should reach to us latest by 28th February,
2011 in the enclosed envelope only. Applications received thereafter shall not be
entertained under any circumstances.

You can also submit your consent online at the University website
http://www.ignou.ac.in upto 28th February, 2011.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Convocation, and it will also not be possible for
the University to make any arrangement for your stay. It may also please be noted that
the Degrees will be distributed only upto 1.30 p.m. on the day of convocation and
thereafter shall be sent by post. Identity Card is essential and Degree will be issued
only to the candidate but to no one else including the authorised representative.

Note: 1. All the students are requested to kindly check their eligibility for the award of
degrees/diplomas in the 22nd Convocation available on IGNOU Home Page under (online
Registration for the 22nd Convocation). Those applying through Credit/Debit cards may not
fill the forms manually.
2. The attached format should not be filled by the eligible student for award of certificates and
Diploma in Primary Education. Their certificates and DPE will be sent directly at their
available address. There is no registration fee for the issue of certificates as well as DPE.
