Describe your college.

Approaching the town-hall, one cannot help but be struck by a majestic building quite
hidden behind a large garden. This is my college, here hundreds of teenagers squeeze
everyday to arrive at classes.
Before stepping in the building, the garden receives you with a green hug of nature.
Towering trees are like guardians of the history here, leaving the roses behind them to fill the
air with a sweet scent. The alleyways wind past the flowers to the entrance, whose marble
columns on both left and right sides bring you back to the bygone ages of princes and
princesses. On the second floor, five imposing windows are separated by golden-carved
leaves, always sparkling in the sun like a mysterious proof of the past.
In contrast to the Cambridge-college-like appearance, the interior hides run-down
classes and corridors. Although the building is a representative monument of the city, its
interior aspect has been neglected, the dilapidated walls creating a bleak atmosphere, together
with the damaged roof and floor.
Nonetheless, despite the inhospitable aspect, studying here is a reason to be proud, as
this old building is a very important educational centre in town. Pupils have forgotten about
the dismaying aspect of the college and life itself left back the mark of history. Therefore, a
break makes the corridors and the yard look like a station, where over the hustle and bustle
rises the hum of laughter and voices. From time to time you may see teachers wearing
eccentric hats or driving lively-coloured cars or groups of pupils dancing on their favourite
song. Serious teachers can frighten you while others, full of joy, greet everyone and make
jokes. The youth, the laughters and the hurry always mix up to vivid breaks and thus, life is
never boring or old-fashioned inside this historical building.
The combination of ancient and modern offers our college a specific charm, in contrast
with the old or even the new buildings nearby, which seem to have no story to tell.
