BSC Initial Configuration Guide(Based on MML) 2 BSC Initial Configuration

2 BSC Initial Configuration

This describes how to use the BSC initial configuration tool to write an initial configuration
command script.

Prerequisite
l The data negotiated and planned for BSC initial configuration is ready. For details, refer
to 3 Data to Be Negotiated and Planned for BSC Initial Configuration.
l The license is downloaded and activated. For details, refer to Downloading the BSC
License and Activating the BSC License.
NOTE

Initial configuration is restricted by the license. For details on the restriction principles, refer to License.

Procedure
Step 1 Open the BSC initial configuration tool.
Step 2 Create an MML script file.
Step 3 Configure BSC global data.
Mandatory. Refer to 4 Configuring BSC Global Data.
Step 4 Configure BSC equipment.
Mandatory. Refer to 5 Configuring BSC Equipment .
Step 5 Configure BSC links.
Mandatory. Refer to 6 Configuring BSC Links .
Step 6 Configure BSC clock signals.
Mandatory. Refer to 7 Configuring BSC Clocks .
Step 7 Configure BTSs.
Mandatory. Refer to 8 Configuring a BTS .
Step 8 Configure adjacent relations.
Mandatory. Refer to 9 Configuring Adjacent Relations .

Step 9 Back up the MML script file.


Mandatory. Save the MML script as a .txt file to your local PC.
Step 10 Load the MML script file.
Mandatory. Refer to Loading the Data Configuration File.
