DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
-Multiple axial tomographic sections of the head without contrast were obtained.
-plain CT images of the head shows diffuse effacement of the sulci and cisterns, more on the right with compression of the right lateral ventricle.
-hyperdensities seen in the tentorium cerebilli and interdigitating along the sulci of the left temporal lobe.
-the midline structures are slightly shift to the left.
-the posterior fossa ,sella, orbits, and petromastoids are unremarkable.
-haziness seen all the para-nasal sinuses.
-linear fractures seen in the right temporal, both frontal and parietal bones with depression in the left fronto-parietal bone, depth of about 1.0cm. comminuted fracture also seen in the
zygoma, greater wings of the sphenoid and bases of the frontal bones. No other significant findings.
Impression:
-large non-hemorrhagic contusion, right cerebral hemisphere with diffuse edema, more on the right
-acute subdural bleeding, tentorium cerebilli
-acute subarachnoid bleed, left temporal lobe
- linear fractures, right temporal, both frontal and parietal bones with depression in the left fronto-parietal bone
- comminuted fractures, both zygoma, greater wings of the sphenoid and bases of the frontal bones
