Chapter 1
 Renesmee’s POV

It was midnight. The moon’s light was flashing towards

me and helped me to find my way through the forest.

Mom, dad, Jacob and I were hunting in the woods. Jacob and
I had a hunting competition as usual, in which Jacob had
always won. He was huge and muscular, and so he would get
big animals.

‘’ Ha! I win’’ Jacob said flashing a grin. I playfully narrowed

my eyes at him and started laughing. He looked at me
started laughing too ‘’ don’t worry, I am just sleepy now.
Tomorrow I would definitely beat you in this game’’ I said in
a competing tone and yawned.

‘’ Renesmee!... Jacob’’ Called my mom from somewhere

deep in the forest. Soon, she came into our view and I saw
the beautiful, pale white face of my mother, Bella Cullen

‘’ Renesmee…. You need to go and sleep. First of all, we

shouldn’t have let you hunt with Jacob in the midnight at all’’
She spoke. ‘’But, mom-‘’ I tried to argue with her but my
dad, Edward Cullen came from the other side of the woods
and cut me off ‘’ don’t disappoint me and your mother,
Renesmee’’ Dad warned coldly and flashed a crooked grin. I
desperately looked at Jacob for help but he flashed the ‘’Hey,
I can’t do anything’ look.

‘’ Fine…. Goodnight Jacob’’ I said giving up ‘’Mom, dad are

you done with your hunting?’’ I asked and looked at their
eyes. They were still black. I nodded knowingly and smiled. ‘’
Goodnight mom…. Goodnight dad’’ I said and hugged them
‘’Love you’’ I whispered. ‘’Love you too… a lot’’ They
whispered together. Jacob looked at us admiringly. I pulled
back and yawned.
‘’ Can Jacob come with me?’’ I asked sweetly at my parents.
They looked at each other for a minute. ‘’ Just be careful’’
Dad said looking at Jacob and Jacob growled quietly. Careful?
They said it like as if Jacob would eat me up. Jacob and I
started walking towards our cottage.

We reached the small cottage, which was not very far away
from the Cullen Mansion.

I hopped on my bed and Jacob sat on the edge ‘’Goodnight

Ness, sleep tight’’ He whispered and got up to reach the
door ‘’ Wait aren’t you gonna- Where are you gonna sleep?’’
I asked. I knew he had two answers. He would sleep at his
house or else phase and sleep in the woods as a wolf. ‘’ Well,
I would better meet up with my wolf buddies’’ He grinned. I
smiled at him knowingly. ‘’Goodnight’’ I said and pulled the
bed sheet over me.

I could tell that Jacob was feeling hesitant to go. I wanted

him to stay with me too. But I didn’t want dad to rip him off
into shreds. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted into sleep.

The sunlight attacked my soft, purple eyelids. I forced my

eyes to open and sat up on my bed. I sighed.

‘’ Good morning’’ Aunt Alice barged into my room, which

almost made me jump off my bed ‘’ I’m sorry, I didn’t mean
to scare you off’’ She apologized. ‘’ But you did’’ I muttered
jokingly. She smiled.

‘’Esme is preparing you breakfast… so, come on’’ She said

cheerfully. I got up from the bed ‘’ Um… When are you going
to come shopping with me Nessie?’’ She started. So this was
the reason of this conversation ‘’ I’ll tell you when I am ready
to go Aunt Alice’’ I spoke softly ‘’ Well try to tell me a bit
sooner…. You are almost out of dresses’’ She said pointing
my wardrobe. The reason was that I kept growing at an
exceptional rate and so all my dresses were getting tighter
and smaller.

Aunt Alice and I ran towards the Cullen Mansion. Aunt Alice
opened the door for me and I walked in. I smiled and
whispered ‘’thanks’’ to her.

‘’ Hey Aunt Rose, Uncle Em and Jasper and grandma’’ I

smiled sweetly at them. ‘’ Hey there, look it’s our favorite
niece’’ Uncle Emmet flashed a goofy grin while Uncle Jasper
smiled warmly at me.

Each one of them was involved in different activities.

Grandma Esme was placing a plate on the table, which
seemed like my breakfast. Uncle Emmet and uncle Jasper
were seriously playing chess. Aunt Rose was reading a
fashion magazine.

‘’ I have made some breakfast for you dear. Please eat it’’
Grandma smiled kindly. I smiled back at her. I went and sat
on the dining table. She made me pancakes!!! Yum!! I love
pancakes with maple syrup. They’re my favorite!!!

‘’ Good morning Ness… Seems like my favorite niece needs

someone to gently brush her auburn hair’’ Said Aunt Rose
and started to comb my hair while I was eating ‘’ Oh I was
exactly expecting for you to do that’’ I said and nibbled on
my pancakes. ‘’ Where is mom and dad?’’ I asked her ‘’Oh
your dad’s playing your mom a lullaby in his bedroom’’ She
said. I could feel her smiling. I heard some faint sounds of a
piano. ‘’Must be my dad’’ I thought.

By the time, I finished my breakfast; Aunt Rose finished

combing my hair too. I loved it when my Aunt combed by
hair. She combed my hair gently and carefully. She knew
everyone loved it when my hair was left loosely and so she
left it just like that.
The door bell rang. Aunt Rose sniffed and her face showed
the emotion of disgust. I ran and opened the door. It was
Jacob. I smiled automatically.

‘’ Hey’’ He whispered and hugged me tightly. ‘’ Hey’’ I

whispered back. ‘’ I missed you’’ He said. His grip was so
hard. So I just continued to hug him. Aunt Rosalie walked
past us whispering the word ‘’ Dog’’ at him. I pulled back.

‘’ So, what do you wanna do?’’ He asked totally ignoring

Aunt Rose. I sighed.

‘’ Um… How about walking in the woods’’ I asked ‘’or

hunting?’’ We said together remembering what I told
yesterday about another competition. We laughed. ‘’ Yeah,
let’s go’’ I said and took off running ‘’ Race ya’’ I yelled
already running towards the woods. ‘’ Cheater’’ I heard him
yell playfully. I laughed out loud while running.

We hunted a few animals. And this day, we made a bet.

Those who win in the competition would get to choose what
to do next.

‘’ Ha! I win’’ I said imitating his words. He just smiled. ‘’So,

what do we get to do then?’’ He asked giving up. ‘’Um…’’ I
thought. Jacob looked at me for an answer. ‘’ How bout’ we
visit my dad’s meadow?’’ I gave him an idea. He thought for
a second. ‘’ Okay’’ He said.

Mom had said that dad’s meadow was a beautiful place. She
also said that his meadow was the place where mom had
seen him shine in the sunlight for the first time.

We reached the meadow. The meadow was a peaceful and a

happy place today. Patches of summer daisies interrupted
the green grass with splashes of white and yellow.

‘’ Wow’’ Jacob and I whispered at the same time. The

sunlight broke through the trees, making my face shine. I did
not shine like the rest of the members of my family. Their
skin would look as if thousands of diamonds were embedded
to it in the sunlight. I noticed Jacob looking at me.

‘’ Good thing that we came to visit the meadow… So that we

get to see the real beauty’’ He spoke. I just nodded and
looked at the sun.

We laid there on the grass and enjoyed the warmth of the

sun.

Jacob’ POV( From the first scene)

Ness and I were hunting in the woods during
midnight with Bella and Edward. We were competing as
usual. She ran and caught an elk gracefully. She sunk her
teeth into its neck. It looked as if she was kissing it.

Every part of her portrayed the beauty of an angel. She was

my angel. I felt complete with her. The way her rich, bronze
curls swayed to the wind, was unique. I finished my hunting.
I waited for my Ness to finish hers. This also gave me a
chance to think for a while.

Where was I? Yeah and she looked in her mid-teens. Her

body was developing further. She was actually 6 years old,
but she was more intelligent than me. She was thin and
perfect. She had the body of a model, actually more perfect
than a model. She had full, pink lips which were really soft
and kissable. What the hell am I thinking? She’s just 6 years
old for cryin’ out loud!!!

I decided to control my thoughts for now because we were

not very far away from Edward. I distracted myself by saying
‘’ Ha! I win’’ and flashed a wide grin, hiding my nervousness
near her. She playfully narrowed her milky chocolate brown
eyes at me. Soon she started laughing. The sound was
pleasant. It sounded like bells. Later, I found myself laughing
at her too.

‘’ Don’t worry. I am just sleepy now but tomorrow, I will

definitely beat you in this game’’ She said in a competing
tone and yawned. The way she yawned was also cute.

‘’ Renesme…. Jacob!’’ I heard Bells shout from the other side

of the forest, but I couldn’t exactly figure out from where.
Soon, she came into our view ‘’

‘’ Renesmee…. You need to go and sleep. First of all, we

shouldn’t have let you hunt with Jacob in the midnight at all’’
She spoke.

‘’But, mom-‘’ Ness tried to argue with her but Edward, my

angel’s father came from the other side of the woods and cut
her off ‘’ don’t disappoint me and your mother, Renesmee’’
He warned coldly and flashed a crooked grin at Nessie and
shot me a glare. My doubts were clear! He did read my
thoughts then. Nessie looked at me desperately for help but
I couldn’t do anything.

‘’ Fine…. Goodnight Jacob’’ She said giving up ‘’Mom, dad

are you done with your hunting?’’ My angel asked her
parents and looked at them. She then nodded knowingly and
smiled. ‘’ Goodnight mom…. Goodnight dad’’ She said and
hugged them ‘’Love you’’ She whispered lowly. ‘’Love you
too… a lot’’ They whispered together. They were one happy
family. Always together.

‘’ Can Jacob come with me?’’ Ness asked sweetly at her

parents. They looked at each other for a minute. I didn’t
want to talk about anything that time. It was Edward and
Bella’s choice. ‘’ Just be careful’’ Edward said looking at me.
This made me quite furious. What! Can’t he trust me with his
daughter?
I growled quietly. Nessie and I started walking towards the
cottage.

We reached the small cottage, which was not very far away
from the Cullen Mansion. I would often hit my head in the
front porch, because of my height. So this time, I leaned
down and walked in.

She hopped up on the bed and I sat on the edge ‘’Goodnight

Ness, sleep tight’’ I whispered. I had the urge to kiss her
forehead but resisted it. I got up to reach the door ‘’ Wait
aren’t you gonna- Where are you gonna sleep?’’ She asked
worriedly. This girl was such a printed copy of Bella. Always
worrying.

‘’ Well, I would better meet up with my wolf buddies’’ I

grinned. She flashed a dazzling smile at me. My heart was
beating faster. ‘’Goodnight’’ She said and pulled the bed
sheet over her, covering her dedicate body.

I was really hesitant to go. But then I knew that Edward

would kill me if I stay here with her.

I went out and phased as a wolf, letting my clothes get

ripped off of me. I ran to the forest with four legs.

Met Nessie? I heard a voice entering into my head. It was

Seth.

Hey Seth I said.

So who kissed first? You or her? Asked Embry and made

kissing sounds. I heard everyone barking a laugh.

We’re not like that. Shut the hell up I yelled irritated in

my mind. I ran to the other side of the forest, away from my
pack. I slept under a tree.

I woke up in the morning as a wolf. I found a t-shirt and a
jeans pant lying on the grass. Carlisle and Esme must have
kept it for me to change back. I mentally thanked them in
my mind. I phased back immediately and changed my
clothes.

I started to head off to the Cullen Mansion knowing that

Nessie will be there. I took a deep breath and rang the
doorbell.

Thankfully, Nessie opened the door. ‘’Hey’’ I said and

hugged her tightly. ‘’ Hey’’ I heard her whisper back quietly.
Blondie walked towards us and muttered the word ‘’Dog’’
and reminded me to pull back. I ignored her. Soon, Nessie
pulled back eventually.

‘’ So, what do you wanna do?’’ I asked, trying to hide the

nervousness in my voice. Come on Jake! Man up! I thought.

‘’ How about walking in the woods?’’ She asked. ‘’Or

hunting’’ We both said together and laughed at the
coincidence. ‘’ Let’s go then’’ She said and headed to the
forest. I started to follow her slowly. ‘’Race ya’’ She yelled
suddenly while running. ‘’ Cheater!’’ I yelled playfully. I could
hear her laughing out loud.

We hunted for a while today. I let her win this time. So she
gets to choose our activity today. ‘’ So what do we get to do
today then’’ I asked her. ‘’Kissing’’ I imagined her say.
Stop dreaming Jacob!
‘’Um…’’ She wondered ‘’ How about we visit my dad’s
meadow?’’ She asked. Oh… Daddy Dracula’s meadow….
Great! I thought.’’ Sure’’ I said casually.

We reached the meadow. It was beautiful, but not nearly as

beautiful as my Nessie.
‘’ Wow’’ We both said at the same time. We both looked up
at the sky. The sun’s light broke through the shadow of the
trees and shone up against Nessie’s skin. I swear that I felt
my jaw drop down.

She was not glowing like the rest of her family. Being near
her family during this time, would make me feel like I am
hanging out with disco balls. She was glowing slightly. It was
a mesmerizing sight!

I couldn’t come up with my words, so I managed to say ‘’

Good thing that we came to visit the meadow… So that we
get to see the real beauty’’ My sentence had two meanings.
But I actually meant the ‘real’ beauty of Nessie. She just
nodded without knowing the true meaning. But she would…
One day.

We laid there on the grass staring at the sun. I was busy

staring at Nessie. Never in my life did I know that I would
end up with a beautiful girl like Renesmee. My feelings had
changed. She was not the little girl, whom I loved as my
sister and a best friend. She is the girl; I was now
unconditionally, undeniably, unintentionally and madly in
love with…..
