(48.2cm X 38cm) piece of each:
fabric, contrast and (optional)
sew-in interfacing
• For large gift bag, 5/8 yd (46cm)
of each: fabric, contrast and
(optional) sew-in interfacing

NOTIONS:
Thread
Two gift bags, small 9˝ X 4˝(23cm X 10.5cm) and
PATTERN PIECES:
• Small gift bag: 1 & 2
large 14˝ X 4˝ (35.5cm X 10.5cm) have contrast
• Large gift bag: 3 felt lining.

 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

CUTTING:

Please read all the instructions before

you get started on your project.
Pin pattern pieces to corresponding
fabric sections. Make sure all the pieces
are correctly laid before cutting out the
sections. Transfer markings.

NOTE: All seam allowances

are 1/2” (1.2cm), unless
otherwise indicated.

2. Stitch center back seam, as shown. 5. Turn inside out; press. Baste raw
edges together.

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Note: Illustrated for small gift bag.
Pattern piece number for large gift bag
will be shown in parentheses.

6. Pin lower edges of bag together,

having right sides together and center-
ing seam. Stitch, as shown.

3. For lining, stitch center back seam in

Lining bag section 2(3).

7. Fold lower corners, matching large

small gift bag 1(3), having edges even;
baste. Note: Interfacing will not be
shown in the following illustrations.
4. With right sides together, pin bag
lining to bag, matching seams. Stitch
along upper edge.
