You may find few blogs about experiences of people in TCS during their first few
days....But this one is different becuase I dont want to show off my vocabulary
and I have written this while undergoing the ILP....And for the TCS faculty, Ni
sha mam, Liza mam, & Nandita mam,(Oops coudnt "unlearn" the habit of calling you
"Mam" but respect doesnt cost money...) I know you are reading or will read thi
s...I hope I am not misrepresenting the facts as you had complained about the ot
her blogs...and for other readers, the TCS faculty at the ILP centres too read t
hese blogs...Hope you all find this a good read...
I was wasted with choices about which information to share with you first....but
I finally decided to go step by step....Lets start with what you need to prepar
e before joining...First of all make sure you study hard, join tuetions, and hav
e a clear understanding of the basics of all popular languages(Or the ones they
mail you with) so that you are not blank during the first few days...
TCS unlike other competing companies has a hell lot of documention and formaliti
es at the time of joining...Dont wait for your date of joining, make sure you st
art acquiring all these documents and marksheets as soon as you recieve your off
er letter...The joining letter annexure would mention in detail what all documen
ts you need...Mind you, if their is even a small discrepancy in your documents y
our appointment will be put on hold...
After I was done with documentation & teary parting speeches, I left my place (N
agpur) on 28th June 2010 at 4am in the morning by Kerala Express(One of the only
2 direct trains from Nagpur to Trivandrum)...Found lot of friends at the railwa
y station but still was dissapointed not to find any of my branch mates in the s
ame bogie as the journey was of 37 excruciatingly long hours...But had an AC 3 t
ier ticket and some known faces in the same bogie which made things a bit bearab
le...
Our train reached Trivandrum central station at 3:30 pm the folowing day...I had
a lot luggage and the station has no ramps for dragging the luggage...only stai
rs...After much effort we guys managed to find a lone cab driver who could speak
few words in English and after much bargaining he took us to our respective hos
tels at 100 Rs per person...I was alloted a private hostel which is hired by TCS
called Mohanam...All 3 hostels viz. Peepul park, Kenton Liesure Executive hoste
l, & Mohanam are in Kazhakuttom which is 18km away from Trivandrum city...
At the first sight of the hostel, my first reaction was "Accomodation cant get a
ny better"...My second reaction was "Oh shitttt", no hot water for bathing, freq
uent power cuts, acute water shortage & worst of all, the care taker here cannot
speak either hindi or english...But bieng students of a goverment college, we w
ere used to bieng screwed...A silver lining to the cloud was that we were allowe
d to chose our room mates and there was a fridge, a good purifier and a TV for e
very 6 people. 9 of us, 3 from electrical & 6 from electronics branch where allo
ted the Mohanam hostel. After a little bit of shuffling, we settled in our rooms
. I took a room on the first floor. We got fresh and made straight for the marke
t and nearby areas and found out all the good hotels in the vicinity.
Mind you TCS makes no arrangements for your food. We tried each place and conclu
ded that these are the best hotels around...The Punjabi Dhabba(On Kovalam/Kanyak
umari road, and closest to Mohanam), B6 inn(plush but no so good), Geethhanjali)
(Also very near to Mohanam). The rates are very good at all the hotels and both
Veg and Non Veg food is readily available. TCS provides "Sodexho" meal coupons a
while after you join which are accepted in any hotel that you can find...I had
never lived in hostel before, so, it was a bit diificult for me to get used to w
alking few kilometres each time you need to eat something...
After dinner and little exploring in the market we came back to the hostel at 10
pm in the night and went to dreamland with the dread of getting up early next d
ay and the nervousness about the first day of our corporate lives...Do read the
part II of this blog for my experience of the first day at TCS...And do post you
r comments and querries, they are most welcome....
Let me remind you guys that if you are not ready to commit yourself 24x7 to your
job, then TCS is not the company for you. I had been warned beforehand by many
so I was mentally prepared.
So it was 5:30 in the morning on 30th June 2010 when I got up (with the help of
3 different alarms and few presses of the "Snooze" button). Everyone else at the
hostel was asleep but I wanted to have enough time before leaving for the bus s
top to make sure I haven't missed anything. The TCS bus arrives at each of the h
ostels at 7:30 am in the morning and its a hard time getting ready in full forma
l clothing so early in the morning given the fact that there is no hot water for
bathing. And the dress code being so specific i.e. formal shirts (solids, check
s, pinstripes), formal trousers. And yes the neck ties are compulsory. Girls hav
e a lot of options but not boys...Friday is a relief from the dress code but aga
in, you cant wear anything flashy or with messages on it. (I really wanted to tr
y my Tshirt which said "I am the guy whom ur mom warned about" or the one saying
"I can CODE serious shit" lolzzz)
If you get dressed wrongly or forget to shave, they send you back to the hostel
and you lose a days pay. Some how we got ready on time and reached the main gate
of the hostel where the bus was supposed to arrive.( The hostel warden though u
nable to understand our language came to see us off everyday and would phone ans
scold the bus driver if he ever came late.)
When we first set our eyes on the approaching bus, we all asserted, "not worthy
of TCS" at almost the same time. We were only 24 people and it did not have spac
e even for such a small group. We were already pissed off due to the fact that w
e had to reach the campus almost 1 and a half hour earlier. The TCS Peepul Park
& Bodhi Park campuses are located in an IT park Called "Technopark" about 5 mins
distance from all 3 hostels. After reaching the sprawling TCS Peepul Park campu
s we were awestruck. The building looks like one seriously huge 5 star hotel. Th
e sessions were to commence at 8:45 am but we were supposed to have breakfast in
the meantime in the inhouse canteen(a rare welcome news).
After waiting in a long Que for getting a visitors pass made we were seated in t
he "Saffron" auditorium. By this time we were used to getting awestruck due to t
he grandeur of the place but still I couldn't avoid staring like a kid at the 2
identical 125 inch projection displays in the auditorium. Out of habit me and my
few friends sat in the first row. After eying the schedule we were sad to find
inductions (Boring informative speeches) for the first 2 days. The schedule was
very tiring,
8.45am to 10:30am==Session A (OMG such a longggggggg lecture)
10:30am to 10:45am==Break (You don't even notice this one because you are busy c
oding serious shit in your lab sessions or you enjoying life skills sessions)
10:45am to 1:00pm==Session B
1:00pm to 1:45pm==Lunch Break (Cold and stale south Indian veg/Non veg lunch is
available in tcs canteen at subsidized rates, but I assure you food cant get any
worse)
1:45pm to 3:00pm==Session C (Sooooo long)
3:00pm to 3:45pm==Tea Break (The trainer is back in the lab before you take even
your first sip of tea.)
3:45pm to 5:45pm==Sessions D (Seriously long again)Sessions get a bit bearable w
hen case studies start, which are group activities.
After attending the HR and ADMIN inductions we ventured out of the auditorium an
d loitered around. We found the different sections like HR bay, i-Security, etc
and most importantly the tea and coffee machines which were of great help to war
d off the stupor induced by the speeches. (PS: The tea is very good but you cann
ot carry the cups around the premises :-D). It was later on that day when we fou
nd that TCS Trivandrum center operates in 3 shifts i.e. Morning shift(7am to 2pm
), General shift (8:45am to 5:45am), and the Night shift (2pm to 9pm). We were l
ucky enough to have been allotted to the general shift because it greatly simpli
fied the meal times.
The suspense about the duration of the ILP and its second phase was broken later
om that that during the ILP induction. The newly designed ILP is of 63 working
days which includes both common and stream based training. There are a lot of ch
anges both academic and administrative. For starters, they have omitted the fore
ign language training and started deducting HRA during the ILP period and a host
of other changes and the most notable being the undertaking of both common and
stream training at the ILP center itself.
The most awaited and last induction was the finance induction which includes ban
k account opening. The finance guy Ashutosh was a nice person and he brought ICI
CI bank people with him. We filled forms for opening a savings salary account, a
nd a current reimbursement account. The account was a privilege banking titanium
account with withdrawal limit of 50k and shopping limit of 1 lac. We were given
a starter kit containing a debit card a cheque book and passwords for ATM and n
et banking. This was the first time we proud to be TCS employees, but yet again,
titanium accounts without money in them are even more frustrating...
Finally, overloaded with information and tension, we left the auditorium at 6pm
and went straight to the bus which was already awaiting us outside. Mind you, if
you plan to stay back at office for work or completing exercises after 6:15pm,
then you will have to walk back to the hostels which are about 3-4 km away from
the campus.. :-D...Even after you reach the hostel, it doesn't end, you are hung
ry and have to walk at least 4 km for a single bite of food...As many have said,
I bet 10k bucks you will lose 2 kg weight in first 10 days...anyways keep readi
ng the blog for my experience about the next few days at tcs
Your comments and queries are most welcome....

My happiness knew no bounds when I got through TCS and Infosys. I had to make a
tough choice. I opted for tcs, as there was a bleak opportunity of getting back
to my hometown mumbai . I booked my tickets to Trivandrum for the fourth of Septemb
er. The atmosphere at home on the third was serious. My family made it sound lik
e I was going to fight a war on the Indian border. I never heard so many sermons
even when I ventured into my teenage. Here I was all set to enter the big bad c
orporate world. Dad said, Keep your eyes open and mouth shut. Think ten times bef
ore you speak . And trust me it was one difficult task for someone as garrulous as
me to actually keep my mouth shut. Sister said Don t be manipulative but be smart
enough so that others don t manipulate you. BEWARE of sycophants. With all the adv
ices taken and with a bit of apprehension I embarked on my journey to the land o
f coconut trees (kerala). I wish the land was accompanied with a bit of culinary
skills as well so that the food we ate could be a little delectable.
Here I was in Trivandrum with a bunch of equally apprehensive people eager to ma
ke their mark in the corporate world. Met people with a variety of skills. Some
were technically savvy, some were smart, some had great command over language, s
ome were genuinely naïve, some thought they were gods best gifts to humanity and t
o top it all there were some who would not stop asking foolish doubts. But trust
me, they were the only redeeming feature in the boring technical lecture. They
were someone whom anyone would love to imitate and the best sources of entertain
ment in the software engineering lecture. And here I introduce you to the word t
hat every software engineer fears and that is software engineering . The lectures w
ere slower than boring ekta kapoor soap and they seemed never ending like the et
ernal soap saas bhi kabhi bahu thi . And given a choice I would rather watch the bo
ring ekta kapoor soap than listen to the lecture. Other lectures were sought of
fun like istd, pge and sac. But what acted like the icing on the cake was foreig
n language. Everyone loved it except the few guys who took their own sweet time
to pick up the foreign language. But hearing them speak was another great source
of entertainment. And among the other things that provided entertainment was th
e scenic beauty of kerala. I never witnessed something so serene, so beautiful a
nd so exotic. Generally trips tend to exhaust you but these trips rejuvenated us
nonetheless. What actually exhausted us were the studies for the mid terms and
the tests. After a beautiful trip to the beaches what awaited back at home was a
bunch of print outs of the slides that were tough to comprehend without my note
book.
Days past by and so did the lectures and at the end of every lecture came the se
cond most dreaded thing and this was the feedback form . Every engineer detested fi
lling the form. Every one had blank faces and tried to grab snippets from the ot
her and molded the sentence in their own sweet way and presented it. It was one
tough job especially to remember how each faculty taught and what did it teach.
It was simpler to remember salaam namaste s imbecile story than remembering this c
rap.
Now life was getting hectic. We had to get up at six in the morning. All the gir
ls were ready on time and this time it was the boys who took their own sweet tim
e. And even after that, they did not manage to look one degree better. We spent
the entire day at the office doing our project or attending boring lectures. I w
ould go back to my hotel room and there I was throwing my clothes in the room an
d slipping into my night suit. This was one moment I really remembered mom. She
always yelled at me when I threw clothes on the bed. And here I was with my room
mate who gave me competition. If I threw four she would throw five. This was whe
n I actually realized the importance of cleanliness. Now my drawer is absolutely
clean with all clothes ironed and kept in place.
And finally the third most thing every engineer fears is the MATC . Everyone was ke
en on going back home and thankfully MATC had been really kind with our batch. Alm
ost everyone got his or her preferred location except a few. But one person that
actually sent chills down our spine was xxxx . Everyone got so bored in her compan
y. While having mundane conversation with her the facial expressions of most guy
s resembled as if they were suffering from constipation. The harder we tried to
get rid of her, the more our efforts were in vain. Forget the guys even the girl
s who had considerable patience were now getting restless. Conversations with he
r were more boring and lengthy than a three-hour documentary film. We lost count
of the boyfriends she had and we just prayed she never expatiated on her latest
escapades. And here I felt like a true soldier fighting for the country as the
moment the people who were getting bored with her got back to the hotel a warm w
elcome of flowers and paper balls awaited them.
Now came the time to depart. I thought I was entering a mean world but here I me
t the sweetest people of my life. Everyone was so much fun to be with. We develo
ped a sort of harmony. We got accustomed to each other. Somewhere love blossomed
and somewhere friendship .The bad corporate world seemed to be really sweet. Ev
eryone was always ready to give a helping hand. If getting back home was somethi
ng that made everyone happy losing on such wonderful friends made everyone sad.
I wish this ilp lasted longer. This wonderful phase of my life is etched in my m
ind like one of the most beautiful memories. Thanks all of u, for this amazing m
emory.

This is a guest article by Sai Shankar. The information is solely by the author
and has no dependency or knowledge of this blog.
This post is about TCS - Tata Consultancy Services and my experiences with the c
ompany.
Before I elaborate on life at TCS - I would like tell you all (I still seriously
doubt how many people would actually be reading this!!) that I worked in TCS fo
r less than a month, so you may be right when you think that I have no right to
talk about my association with TCS considering the very little amount of time I
spent in TCS - but still, I feel sharing my experiences with you all would surel
y help you. And before you also begin to wonder why I left TCS - it's nothing pe
rsonal - I quit TCS because I am going for higher studies. For most of you (I re
ally don't know how many!), TCS must be the first company on campus and most of
you had to stick to TCS coz your college did not allow multiple placements. Some
times, I feel India is not a democracy yet!! And folks I belong to the same cate
gory - first company TCS and no multiple placements.
It was nothing less than a shock that I got when I got an email from TCS on May
5, 2006 - I was asked to report for the ILP on May 25 at Trivandrum. It was at a
time when none of my friends, nor me were expecting it - I was actually looking
forward to a long vacation till September - but all dreams were shattered. We h
ad no idea about the documents that were required, no availability in direct tra
ins from Visakhapatnam to Trivandrum - in fact, we were not at all prepared to g
o for the ILP. One of my friends got his posting at Bhubaneshwar and my other tw
o friends got it at Trivandrum - both of them backed out - one got it postponed
and the other was going for his MS. That left ME alone. After a hectic last minu
te packing, I was off to Trivandrum on 22nd May - in a journey that would not al
low me to sleep because I had to change two more trains.
The journey to Trivandrum could only be worse if not worst. I missed my second t
rain - waited for four hours in the morning from 2 to 6 in the railway station.
I reached Chennai on 23rd and had to wait in the railway station for another 4 h
ours for my next train to Trivandrum. Travelling on long train journeys - that t
oo alone, with no one to give you company - sometimes makes you go mad and it wa
s madness that I endured until the morning of 24th May, when I woke up in the tr
ain to look at the beauty of God's own country - Kerala. It was raining heavily
and being a first timer to Kerala - I fell in love with the greenery and blue ba
ck waters at first sight. It was so serene and peaceful and for the first time s
ince I started to Trivandrum - I felt happy to be coming to TCS.
Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum was quite unlike many cities that I have been t
o. People in this place don't mind rains - even if it rains throughout the year.
100% literacy rate in Kerala means that everyone knows how to read and write Ma
layalam - and all of them can put in their signature. The autorickshaws charge f
or both to and fro - if you travel from A to B, then you need to pay double the
amount given on the meter, so if you want to come back from B to A - you need no
t pay anything more. The buses have no numbers and everything everywhere is writ
ten only in Malayalam. Everyone in Trivadrum knew about Technopark - that's wher
e TCS is situated, and I later realized that Technopark is the only place famous
in Trivandrum apart from the beaches. I was asked to report at the TCS Executiv
e Hostel which is about 18 km from the railway station - and when I reached Kent
on Leisure (that's the actual name of the executive hostel), the place was teemi
ng with people. I was alloted Room No. 318 (I don't know why I'm goinf into the
tiniest of details!!) and my room mate was Sridhar - he was from GCT, Coimbatore
- but in an hour I had to change my room because Sridhar's friend Mohanbabu fro
m GCT wanted to be in room 318 - so I had to move into 319. And my room mate was
missing - I could only find his baggage in the room - he had apparently gone ou
t. Now, one small clarification - you cannot change rooms at will in the hostel
- it so happened that myself, Sridhar and Mohanbabu were in the same batch.
TCS Executive Hostel has around 150 rooms - each room is furnished with 2 beds,
2 study tables, a cupboard for 2 people, a dressing table, 1 plug point for mobi
le phone charging and an attached bathroom - believe me, the accomodation can't
get better than this. The hostel has two outdoor shuttle courts, a gym (not many
facilities in the gym though), a recreation room with a TV, carrom board and Ta
ble Tennis table, a common TV for each floor and a restaurant that can seat arou
nd 200 people at a time. Each floor gets three newspapers - The Hindu, The India
n Express and ET. There is also a browsing center which charges Rs. 25 for an ho
ur of browsing (half the computers don't work most of the time though), a small
utility shop for buying things like from pencils to badminton racquets, two STD
booths and a laundry service (called Al-Khobar Laundry service; charges are exor
bitant - Rs. 13/- for a pair of shirt and trousers - washing and pressing). The
only bad thing about the hostel is the restaurant - the food served is not great
- and the fact that the hostel is located in a village and there are few places
to go to around the hostel - you do have a number of small restaurants outside
the hostel at walkable distance - recommended ones are Hotel Chennai and Veg Wor
ld.
The hostel rent is Rs. 110 per day, so you need to pay Rs. 3300 every month from
your HRA. Technopark is about 1 km from the executive hostel and TCS is about 2
km from the hostel. Technopark also has other companies like US Technologies, I
BS and many unheard ones. Technopark has other things too - it has a hospital ca
lled Ojus, a State Bank of India branch, a SBI ATM, a small departmental store,
a place for junk food, a courier office, a dress showroom, an internet browsing
center - these are the things that I can remember.
Day 1 at Trivandrum went on well, slept a lot to gain on all the sleep i had los
t. The next day - May 25, 2006 was my first day at TCS - we were provided with v
ans and buses to reach TCS - the transport cost is Rs. 17 per day (to and fro) -
which is to be paid at the end of the month from your Vehicle Allowance.
First day at work - in part II..........
First day at work
TCS ILP center at Trivandrum was just like how it was in the pics I had seen. We
went inside and there were around 300 guys and girls - all of them trying to ha
ve a glance at a notice board kept at the entrance. The schedule for the day was
put up - I was in batch T08; our batch numbers were already told to us at the h
ostel reception when we checked in. There were 8 batches - T02 to T09 and batche
s T02 to T05 were asked to gather in an auditorium and the remaining batches fro
m T06 to T09 were asked to gather in a class room - shouldn't be complaining but
already a discrimination - T02 to T05 were the CS/IT ppl and the remaining were
the non CS ppl.
So around 150 of us gathered in the classroom alloted to the four batches. The s
chedule for the first day was induction - from the admin, HR, MATC, ILP and fina
nce (I don't remember exactly - forgive me for my poor memory) - after breakfast
. TCS canteen is run by a private contractor. Let me tell you that the food is b
ad - but quite cheap; you get -
Bread and butter (two slices of bread and butter @ Rs. 6/-), Bread and jam (same
price as above), Vada (Rs. 2/- each), Idli (Rs. 2/- each), Puri (a plate @ Rs.
10/-), Dosa (Rs. 9/- a plate), Milk (a glass @ Rs. 10/-), and some more stuff -
some days there is channa batura, some other days there are other dishes as well
. TCS gives free tea/coffee coupons - which can be used any time of the day - mi
nd you, you cannot exchange the coupons for milk or any other beverage (some of
my friends tried doing it ;))
The daily schedule will have 4 slots with 2 tea/coffee breaks and 1 lunch break
and it may typically be like this
9 to 11 - A Slot 11 to 11.30 - Break 11.30 to 1.15 - B Slot 1.15 to 2.00 - Lunch
2.00 to 3.30 - C Slot 3.30 to 4.00 - Break 4.00 to 5.30 - D Slot 5.30 to 5.45 -
Submission of feedback forms/meetings
The timings could vary but not a lot - it may be around 15 minutes either way. E
ach batch has two coordinators - one technical and one life skills coordinator (
will tell you about technical and life skills later). Our technical coordinator
was Koshy and for life skills it was Nisha Dev (the faculty insist that we call
them by their first name :) - no more Sir/Madam formalities).
So, after breakfast, we proceeded to our induction sessions. Let me tell you wha
t Induction actually is - it is nothing but a formal welcome by all the departme
nts of TCS - the admin induction was by Col. Nair, who is the admin incharge of
TCS, Trivadrum. He's a very lively and jovial chap - he welcomed us to TCS, Triv
andrum and then he went on to talk about the rules and regulations to be followe
d in the hostel as well as work - like for example he said, guys ought to be bac
k in the hostel by 10 pm and girls ought to be back by 9 pm. And also that, no g
uy must be found in a girl's room and vice versa. The admin department handles t
hings like accomodation, transport, food in the TCS canteen and so on. And then
we had the other inductions - by HR, by MATC - which is Manpower Allocation Task
Committee who handle our allocations after training (it was by a female named S
heena - she's one ruthless lady - the first thing she told us was that WE WOULD
NOT BE ALLOCATED TO PLACES NEAR OUR HOME TOWN for our project - so you know her
character now).
ILP induction was by Mr. Koshy Vaidyan (who later became Koshy - our technical c
oord.) - he told us about the ILP in general. Let me digress to tell you in deta
il about the ILP at TCS. From this year on, i.e from 2006, the ILP pattern has b
een changed - it is for 50 days for all branches (earlier CS ppl had ILP for 33
days and non CS for 44 days) - now mind you - 50 days means 50 working days - wh
ich would mean that the ILP is for 63 days (9 weeks), coz we would get around 12
or 13 holidays (Sundays and alternate Saturdays - TCS works on alternate Saturd
ays). So, this 50 day ILP schedule is broken up into two phases - 1. Induction 2
. Integration
The Induction is the same for all the batches - it basically deals with the fund
amentals of software engineering and other courses. Here is the unofficial TCS s
chedule for Induction phase -
Induction phase 25 days
------------------------------------------------------
HR Induction } LS Induction } Admin Induction } Finance Induction } 2 days IS In
duction } MATC Induction } Library Induction }
Technical
Process Models 4 slots Requirements Analysis 5 slots Design 5 slots Testing and
Debugging 5 slots
Good Programming Skills 3 slots UNIX and C 4 slots Data structures and Algorithm
s } 3 slots Programming Techniques } Operating Systems 3 slots
Life Skills
Oral and Written Communication 11 slots Professional Grooming and Etiquette 6 sl
ots
Business Orientation 10 slots Systems Thinking 3 slots
Ultimatix and IPMS 1 slots TBEM 2 slots IQMS 3 slots ISecurity 2 slots Business
Continuity Planning 1 slots
-------------------------------------------------------
The integration phase is also called the project specific training - about which
I shall tell you later.
At the end of the first day, I could make the following observations -
1. You should be proud to be a part of TCS and generally as a part of the TATA b
rand - because that's the aim of the first day's induction schedule.
2. TCS has an ERP tool called Ultimatix which can be accessed at https://www.ult
imatix.net - you cannot do anything with it now though if you are not yet a TCS
employee. Ultimatix is the ultimate ERP tool - it is through Ultimatix that you
will have to claim your reimbursements, apply for leave, view your paycheck, fil
l in your time sheets (this is after training i.e during your project after allo
cation).
3. TCS also has a global helpdesk through which you send all your requests - lik
e activating your TCS mail ID, or reporting some problems with the computers and
so on.
4. You cannot access public email clients like yahoo, gmail, rediff, hotmail and
even sites like orkut and many others from any computer in TCS - they are all b
locked by the server.
The first day at TCS ended - it was a stress to the mind - listening to the hist
ory of the TATA group and that of TCS - during every induction made us feel bore
d to hell. Overall, it was a good day - my first day @ TCS - came to know a lot
of things. The next day, we had our documentation scheduled - which is the verif
ication of certificates and collection of the service agreement among others.
The 2nd day @ TCS in the next post - sooooooon..........
Day 2 @ TCS
First day at TCS ended with us knowing more about our batchmates - there were lo
ts of colleges from Andhra Pradesh like Andhra University, JNTU Kakinada, SVU, G
ITAM (that's my coll) , GVP, GNITS, Srinidhi, SRKR, NBK - looked like 50% of the
guys and girls selected from Andhra Pradesh were there. The other colleges were
VNIT Nagpur and GCT Coimbatore - the VNITians were the most enthusiastic lot an
d GCTians were equally lively. There were also some MCA ppl from Indore. So basi
cally, it was a cultural mix - everyone was eager to know everyone else - I reme
mber the names of all my T08 batchmates (partly because I was the ILP CR). That
brings me to the topic of CRs or Class Representatives. You may think that ILP i
s like school - believe me, when you go to your ILP, you will surely find out th
at ILP is like going 'Back to School'. There are 4 CRs selected for each batch -
1 for HR related issues, 1 for the Library, 1 for the IS (which is Infrastructu
re Services - they handle issues related to the computers in the lab, network co
nnectivity, login problems etc.), and 1 for the ILP program (I was ILP CR for T0
8 :) ). At the end of day 1, we had with us a notepad, a Reynolds Bold blue ball
point pen (forgive me for the intricate details), a temporary ID card and a per
sonal file given to all of us by TCS. New notepads are given every 15 days. The
important thing is the Personal File. The personal file is what you need to subm
it to TCS by the end of the second day. The photocopies of all your certificates
(attested copies only - you can get attestation done at the SBI branch of Techn
opark), your offer letter, your joining letter (photocopies without attestation
will suffice) and a copy of your passport (in case you have one) - these are the
documents that have to be attached to the personal file. The file also has a lo
t of documents - which you need to fill in - some of the documents I remember ar
e
1. Profile - details about you, your educational qualifications and so on.
2. Nomination for Super Annuity (this is for nominating someone - mostly your pa
rents, to get compensation in case of your untimely death - don't worry - that w
ill not happen).
3. Nomination for Provident Fund (for this and for Super Annuation - you need to
mention the name of the nominees, their date of birth and the percentage of nom
ination - for example, if I want to nominate my mom and dad - then I may give 50
% to my mom and 50% to my dad as percentage of nomination - so the point is deci
de beforehand the percentage of nomination and also know the Date of Birth (as i
n records) of your nominees.)
4. Passport Details
5. Non Disclosure Agreement - which says that you should not divulge any informa
tion about TCS. (which is exactly what I am doing now :D )
6. A document which you need to sign saying that you have no conflict of interes
t with TCS - if you have any, you can mention it (I don't think any of us did).
There are some more documents - I don't remember exactly. There are a lot of sig
natures required - you also need signatures from two witnesses who can be any of
your friends at TCS. And make sure you have sufficient number of passport photo
graphs - you will be needing them.
The schedule for day 2 was a movie (that's right - a movie whose title I have fo
rgotten - it is a biography of Jamshedji Tata - a 1 hour movie - most of the guy
s slept throught the movie), the documentation (this is different from the perso
nal file), library induction, finance induction and bank account opening.
After the movie and the break, we had our documentation. This is where TCS colle
cts your service agreement, your surety verification form and verifies all your
certificates - actually all your certificates from class X to your Course Comple
tion cert. of engineering/Provisional Certificate are verified, but to make matt
ers easy, the HRs asked us to show the originals of the last semester we finishe
d - in our case, the 8th semester marksheet - they just look at it and give it t
o you back. Other documents verified are the -
1. Birth Certificate - lot's of queries here - you cannot show your class X cert
ificate as DOB certificate. TCS is asking for your original birth certificate is
sued by the municipal corporation of the city of your birth. If your name is mis
sing (which is my case too) or if your birth certificate is in your mother tongu
e - then I suggest you to go to a notary or a lawyer, get an affidavit stating y
our date of birth, your parents' name and the place of your birth. It should not
cost more than Rs. 80.
2. Course completion certificate or Provisional Certificate.
Just make sure that you have all marksheets from Class X onwards. If you have an
y doubts on filling up the service agreement, you can find this information usef
ul - http://www.careers.tcs.com/GuideStamp.doc
The documentation was completed in express time - the HRs were very efficient. F
ollowing the documentation, we had the library induction. Now some details about
the library -
TCS library is cool - you get 4 copies of 8 different newspapers, and of course
there are a lot of books - mostly technical though. Everyone is given a copy of
Software Engineering by Pankaj Jalote which can be kept by us until the end of t
he training. Other than this, we get handouts for each technical course - the co
urses which I mentioned in Part II - it is the duty of the library CR to collect
the handouts before each course starts. Now you can issue three more books from
the library - 1 technical, 1 non technical - which means wither fiction/non-fic
tion novel and 1 foreign language book (which you won't be taking in the first 2
5 days coz foreign language is a part of the integration phase). Now, one very i
mportant thing is the non technical book. You have to present a book review at t
he end of the Oral and Written Communication course. So it's better you issue a
good non technical book - i.e a novel from the library on the second day itself
- so that you don't lose out on the good books. It's important because Reviews n
eed to be presented on books taken only from the library.
The finance induction was boring - the person dealing it Mr. Matthew told us man
y things other than the salary and whether there was any hike. He told us a few
important things though. You need to get a PAN card within 60 days of joining TC
S - otherwise you need to pay a penalty of Rs. 10,000. But worry not, TCS has a
contract with an agency - you just need to fill a form and pay Rs. 72/- and subm
it it to the finance department - all this will be taken care of by your HR CR.
If you already have a PAN card, then there is no reason to worry.
Finally, we had the bank account opening - the ICICI ppl came and addressed us -
they said that the account we would be opening has some special benefits for TC
S employees. But personally, I don't think so. We had to fill in a bank applicat
ion (make sure that you have a black ball point pen with you - it's important wh
en filling this application). And then we were given a cheque book, a ATM cum De
bit card and of course our account number and Customer ID. They said that the ac
count would be created and activated in a week's time.
That ended Day 2 - another mind - stressing day - all of us were really looking
forward to the next day - which was a Sunday :). We needed some rest - coz the a
ctual ILP started from the following Monday.
The ILP in detail in the next post...........
ILP, Life and Fun..........
Day 3 @ TCS - Monday, May 29, 2006
williams
Unofficially it was the first working day for us - the schedules had been put up
. We knew that we had a tough day ahead. TCS is not so strict about it's dress c
ode, but it's better you follow the dress code coz probably you won't be followi
ng it after training. We were supposed to be in formal clothing from Monday thro
ugh Thursday which meant - A formal shirt with formal trousers, with tie, belt a
nd shoes. We were told in detail about the dress code in the first class of Prof
ressional Grooming and Etiquette course. It seems it is better to wear light col
ored shirts, preferably plain as formals. Some other things - which most of us k
new were that the belt and the shoe should be of the same color and that brown s
hoes are generally not considered formal. The socks should match the color of th
e trousers. The whole class was about the ways of dressing for guys and girls. I
t really was informative but became monotonous after a few minutes.
TCS ILP Center at Trivandrum has around 4 labs - which are in the top floor each
having around 90 computers. There are around 12 classrooms - including 2 classr
oom having 35 computers each. All classrooms are fully air conditioned (this is
for those who demand specifics). And there is an auditorium which could seat aro
und 150 students.
In a day, you may have 2 technical sessions and 2 life skill sessions, or in wor
st cases - you may have all 4 technical sessions - which can be very taxing coz
you tend to fall asleep what with the AC also on ;). Technical sessions can get
really boring. We had most of the fun during the life skills sessions. Life skil
ls mainly includes the written and oral communication and the professional groom
ing. Our faculty for communication was Minnette Mathew - she was a very sweet la
dy - and she really made us feel good about the ILP - coz somedays the technical
sessions become so unbearable that we need atleast one life skill session to li
terally wake up from sleep. Believe me, when you attend your first Oral and writ
ten communciation session - you will realize that you are back in school. You ar
e taught about tenses, about writing skills, about speaking skills - let me warn
all those who have a problem speaking before an audience that you really have t
o prepare yourself coz in almost all sessions of life skills, you are required t
o speak. For life skills, TCS follows continuous evaluation which means that you
are continuously evaluated - there is no exam for life skills :D. In our ILP, t
here was one session in which we were asked to introduce ourself in the communic
ation course and we were evaluated for it. Evaluation means that you will be giv
en individual feedback on the way you speak (believe me - I always thought I spo
ke well, but to my shock - I got a lot of constructive critcism in my feedback -
really made me aware of the areas where I was lacking). The last two sessions f
or oral and written communication are for the book review which is also evaluate
d. So, this is the second time I'm reminding you to prepare yourself for the boo
k review. PG & E, which is professional grooming and etiquette was taken by Nish
a - she was good too. Like I mentioned earlier, PG&E is all about personality de
velopment, the way to dress, the way to talk, about the importance of global cul
ture and last but not the least about Dining Etiquette. We also had a practical
dining etiquette session. A proper business lunch is supposed to include 7 cours
es - and each course has it's own way of being eaten. So I got to know of many t
hings which I was previously unaware of!! PG&E is really enjoyable.
The four main courses in the technical section are - Process Models, Requirement
s Engg, Design, Testing and Debugging. Depending on your luck, you could have a
proper teacher teaching these or a TCS employee who is on bench teaching. All th
ese courses can be found on http://elearning.tvm.tcs.co.in
Frankly speaking, very few technical sessions are really interesting. Almost all
these 4 technical courses have a minimum of 2 case studies - which has to be wo
rked upon by you and your team. Team members are decided by the HR or your life
skill coordinators. My team had me, two other guys - Shreyas and Amit and two gi
rls - Aishwarya and Divya. So, each batch (my batch as I mentioned previously wa
s T08 - had 40 participants) is divided into teams or groups of 5, with whom you
have to work on case studies and projects - during the evenings after work. We
used to crowd the restaurant in our hostel after dinner to work on our case stud
ies - it is really a sight to watch - each table being occupied by a group of 5
- trying to work together. It is really a good team building exercise. There wer
e teams which worked until 1 in the morning. Fortunately, my team did not!!
Systems Thinking is an OK course but business orientation is really pathetic - i
f it is taught by someone who can make even the dullest of classes enjoyable - t
hen you are lucky. Unfortunately for us - we had 3 faculty members (some courses
could have more than 1 faculty teaching - happens when one of them is busy with
some other work) teaching us and all made us go to sleep during the course!! Sy
stems thinking is about how to be a good consultant. You will learn about the vi
ews of different stakholders that have to be considered when you come across a r
eal time situation. Business Orientation brushes you about business concepts lik
e marketing, finance and so on. I feel like yawning when I talk about business o
rientation!!
There are other short courses - like good programming skills, OS, programming te
chniques and UNIX. If you get a good faculty teaching you, you will really enjoy
these courses. We had one guy called Rishi who actually was a TCS employee with
2 years experience. He was too good in teaching - he taught OS concepts to us a
nd believe me, he was an amazing teacher. The other courses are 2 session course
s like iQMS - which is Integrated Quality Management System, TBEM - which is Tat
a Business Excellence Model and others, which are not so great - but they might
make you go to sleep (just warning you!!).
About the CRs - as I said there are 4 CRs and it is just voluntary - if you want
to become the CR, then you just have to volunteer. If you have tough competitio
n, then the HRs may decide who gets to become the CR. The HR CR has a lot of wor
k in the first few days - like collection of personal files, collection of PAN c
ard forms among others. My batch had Vignesh as the HR CR and he was really pati
ent enough to do his work. The library CR has to collect the handouts for each c
ourse before they actually start. Mostly, all the technical sessions have handou
ts - which are nothing but a copy of the PPT of the course being shown to us. Th
e library CR then has to distribute the handouts to all the participants in the
batch. The Infrastructure services CR literally had no work - if your computer i
n the lab doesn't work, you know who to contact - you should contact your IS CR.
And finally, the ILP CR (yours truly was one) has work related to the ILP. And
among many works, one of the works is to collect the attendance sheet for each c
ourse from the faculty room, take signatures from all the participants in the gr
oup for each slot, then take the signature from the faculty and then keep it in
the faculty room (tough job, :( really). Then at 5.30 in the evening everyday, t
he ILP CR must collect the feedback forms for all the courses that have been com
pleted by that day and ask all the participants to fill it and then submit them
the same day!!!
Please switch off your cell phones when you attend the sessions in the ILP cente
r, or atleast keep them in silent mode. Some of the faculty members take this se
riously and if your cellphone rings in the classroom - then you will have to gen
erously contribute to the MOBILE FUND (TCS named it like that) - you have to she
ll out around 100 bucks for the first time and if you are caught again, then 300
and if for a third time you are found with a ringing cellphone in the classroom
- you need to contribute Rs.500/- only. This affects the PVA of your batch.
PVA - Professional Value Add is something you have in TCS - all batches are eval
uated generally on discipline, on prompt submission of feedback forms, on active
participation in any particular course and on many unknown criteria. Each week,
each batch is given points on how they have fared for the last one week. And at
the end of the 9 weeks of ILP, the batch which has the highest PVA is awarded t
he best outgoing batch.
At the end of 25 working days - you will have a test on the technical courses -
the test would be for 50 marks and would contain around 30 to 33 questions with
each participant getting a different question paper. This is the only exam we wo
uld have in the entire ILP. After this exam, you finish with the Induction phase
and you go on to the Integration phase. The integration phase is where you will
have project specific training - it could be J2EE, mainframes, .NET and some ot
hers which I am not aware of. Along with the project specific training you will
also be taught a foreign language which could be German, French or Japanese.
I was with TCS for less than a month but the experience I gained was really good
. I miss my batch - even in that less time, we all really gelled together. It wa
s a great batch and I am sure it would be awarded the best outgoing batch. Guys
and girls of TVM01/T08 - if you are reading this - cheers to you all........
When I submitted my resignation - I really felt bad to be leaving TCS - as it wa
s my first job. I had to submit my ID card and my smart card, and on going out o
f the ILP center, I was asked to sign the visitor's register because I was no mo
re a TCS employee - but just another visitor.....

I never imagined everything I am about to write get over this soon. Expectations
and hopes were high. The end result - it exceeded! I went through all the *emot
ions that life could offer in the space of 3 months. Even death came to a striki
ng distance on 2 occasions! Under the current circumstance all I wish is that th
e past 4 months of my life can be re-lived at some point of my life but thats mi
ssion impossible!
The 36 hr train journey looked as though it was 36 mins. That was one experience
which I will never ever forget. Myself, water, sombu, ganesh, parthu and both a
swins along with all my college girls occupied almost three fourth the compartme
nt. The great Water had everything to fill our stomach for the entire journey th
anks to his caring nature. Infact he had packed food that was enough for everyone
in the entire train. ----------fast forward---------. Card game . Truth or dare at
12 midnite .early morning peeking out the train session chit chats. The best though
was the parthu-sombu incident when he actually tried to lift himself from the m
iddle berth after sombu had given a jerk and the chain came off..:D
For the first time in my life I ve actually gone to a place that is outside south
India. Excitement grew as we all took a cab to Gandhi Nagar. We were soon welcom
ed by a sight, near the studio apartment giving us all kinds of hope which mysel
f and water had discussed before the TCS call. But we never had time to get into
that as we were more worried about getting the same room in the apartment. All
efforts carried out for that went in vein as we were all separated but it was no
t as bad as how it could ve gone as we were all put in same block except for Koush
ik, Abinanth, Azeez and Master who actually came by flight later.
First day of ILP - We were all gathered in the auditorium and there was some kin
d of tension but certainly the excitement overshadowed it. I desperately wanted
to experience whatever that was going to happen, the challenges I am about to fa
ce and the fun I am going to have. The batch listing came and the first thing wh
ich I looked on it was whether if anyone else from my college was there with me.
To my *disappointment there wasn t any and all kind of thoughts came as on how am
I going to manage in this batch for my entire first phase without any of my clo
se friends. Although I knew I am capable of getting along with anyone, I was sti
ll expecting to be in my comfort zone. I consoled myself and started identifying
new faces of my batch. Those who know me well will know how choosy I am in sele
cting who I want to talk, build a relation and just get along with. I identified
someone who i met in class earlier in 'Cool Point' and with all good intention
I went and spoke to her and got to know her. After some struggle, :D I managed t
o get going with her but not that much initially but to a good level later on. W
hile all these were happening on one side, my performance in the batch meetings
were too good. :D My accumulated score in the first four batch meetings was 9 (9
/400) and I was really proud of it. There is a famous saying that if all wants t
o become a doctor who ll be the patient??! If you can read the relevance fine othe
rwise chuck it!
A-87 batch - All my complaints on having no college mates in my batch drained of
f very soon as I realized I got into the best batch of AHD 23 (Some might disagr
ee). It took a little time but once we got settled in there, nothing stopped us.
The life skill sessions were the time we look forward to daily as that s when we
play plenty of games. We went for our first batch outing to science city and the
lake. Eventhough the place was not that good, the time which we all spent toget
her was really worth.
Then it was all projects and tests and thankfully I cleared the first phase and
it was time for posting. All I had hoped for was a location where I wont be put
alone. But the person above had other ideas and thanks to his generous attitude,
I got Mumbai and guess what? For all my questions and hopes, answers were obvio
us which actually brought me thought on whether if I am being cursed!
My second phase batch was also announced and even in that I was the only one fro
m my college and this time even from my previous batch. Little did I know at tha
t time that I am going to enjoy more with this batch. Anyway, I didn t have luck w
ith my stream as well as location. But life moved on .
Call to heaven 1 - I decided to forget all those as we were given a four day bre
ak. There were talks about my college people not knowing how to have fun which o
nly gave us good laughter as we all gathered in one of our rooms to discuss our
plan to diu/somnath/gir forest trip. Thanks to the efforts of Kaushik we went on
one of the most memorable trips that I would ever have, not for good reasons th
ough but still. Apart from the breathtaking views of the beach and some ancient
sites, nothing is worth mentioning from that tour. However, I should say I had o
ne of the the most adventurous bus journey from diu to Somnath that anyone can e
ven imagine of! The driver of the bus got drunk and was driving the bus like a f
ormula 1 racer! If we had not stopped him, we would all have been either like Fi
lippe Massa in hospital bed or even might have been in history books :D! It was
really adventurous though.. :P
JavaB - For the second consecutive time, I was put on a batch where I am the onl
y guy from my college and in addition to that, this time I was the only one from
my previous batch as well! While I was just thinking on how I am going to manag
e, entered and I made her sit with me not realizing that she s going to be my even
tual enemy . ;) But it was really nice of her to give good company as I sailed thro
ugh my ILP journey with ease. The javaB national anthem, endless teasing session
s, hotseat were all part and parcel of our day to day activities in class and th
ese clubbed together made my life in this batch very enjoyable!
Call to heaven2 Auto incident! I don t want to go too much detail into this but th
e whole day was perfect except this, yet it was really adventurous, adventure-ah
m part 2! Guess it goes like this, more than me loving adventure, adventure love
s me!:P I lost one of my favorite slippers thanks to all concerned. Only myself
and the person who was with me knows the seriousness of that particular incident
. It all happened too quickly that before I could even react everything was over
and the first major relief I got was that, more than me, the person with me was
fine. That was one BIG relief! Still I was really feeling guilty for few days b
ut realized that even if it had been anyone else in my shoes he/she couldn t have
avoided this and also it wasn t my fault at all no matter what anyone thinks or te
lls. But I will never ever forget and forgive the comments made by the so called
left-hand or right-hand of that person and that was really really irritating!!!
But when god had 100 reasons to pull me down, I had 1000 reasons to smile as I
decided to get on with life..;)
Finally the end came and emotions were running high among all of us. The thought
of us parting in few days was really a hard pill to swallow but memory remains
while the journey continues in MUMBAI...

This is a guest post by Angshuman. The views expressed are solely of the writer.
The post below has not been refined and is almost like a rough note rather than
an article, hence you may find the sentences below quite funnily structured and
sometimes difficult interpret. Sorry for the inconvenience. This post is about m
y friends at ILP and me and not ILP itself. I have used the initials of my frien
ds names to conceal their identities. My friends got their call for ILP seven day
s before the joining date. They were supposed to report at Guwahati. At the end
of that day I was the only one who still didn t receive any mail. It was very frus
trating. I even shot a mail to Kolkata HR about this. I got my mail next day. I
was asked to report, not at Guwahati, but at Trivandrum. I was now very upset. O
f all the people they chose me and only me to report at the other end of India,
why why ! I later came to know that out of 171 people only 23 people were asked to
report at Trivandrum and I am the only person from CSE, BIT to Trivandrum.
My accommodation was arranged at Assumpta Tourist Home by TCS. It was not such a
good hotel. The walls were quite dirty, but the bathroom was cleaner. We were t
old by TCS that the bedsheets would be changed every 3 days and the rooms would
be cleaned everyday. In reality, bedsheets were changed and the rooms were clean
ed only on Mondays. All-in-all, the hotel was okay as it was at the heart of the
city. The nearest good restaurant was Arul Jyoti.
Apprehensive about who will be my room partner, I asked Assumpta s manager to allo
t me a room. He recommended room 302, as the guy (ShaB) there seemed well nature
d to him. My first impression of him was that he is from a very rich family and
possibly he is a snob. Don t know why, but I got this impression of him. In a day
or two I found out he was a nice guy. In few more days I found out that he was a
total clown. We nick named him Charlie after Charlie Chaplin. Not only because
of his jovial nature but also because his face has uncanny resemblance to the le
gend. He has a very unusual way of laughing. When he laughs, his upper jaw-line
pops out from behind his upper lips and his face turns red. We all wondered from
where did he get his ideas. He never seemed to run out of them. Alas! I have ne
ver been able to see deeper into him, beyond his jovial face.
Next morning when we got ready for our first day, other TCSers on our floor, who
were all from Mumbai and the very same college from where ShaB was, introduced
themselves to me. After that we all got onto the bus that was waiting for us to
take us to TCS Peepul Park Campus in Technopark. It was a new day of a new chapt
er in my life and I was looking forward to make new friends. I had already made
one new friend my roommate. My only worry was making new friends. I being an int
rovert, is not very good in making friends fast. It took me 1 or 2 semesters to
make bonds with some my present good friends from the college. It took me 2 year
s of my college life to know all the 90 people of my class. I knew I had to some
how make friends and bond with them faster. When we reached the campus I tried t
o remain with SB and his mumbaiya group, viz. MA, MS, SD and NG. Sometimes they
tried giving attention to me and were very friendly, but still I was usually ign
ored by them because I spoke much less. It was difficult for me to speak anythin
g random to them as I had almost no knowledge of Mumbai and its life and absolut
ely no knowledge of their college VESIT; we didn t share anything in common, and I
was still quite depressed by the fact that TCS chose me to tear apart from my f
riends. Furthermore, they sometimes used to speak in Marathi, which is as incomp
rehensible to me as is Malayalam. ShaB was and still is particularly notorious f
or preferring to talk in Marathi in my presence.
The first three or four days of ILP had been traumatic for me, not only because
of the incessant dose of merciless induction lectures one after another but also
because I was feeling so alone. I was trying to gel with the mumbaiya bhais and
I was still feeling like an outsider. This experience was damn depressing. I ho
pe that I will never have to go through that again. After these initial three or
four days my first breakthrough came when SD started paying attention to me. He
was the quietest and an introvert among the group. He was my first respite. SD
and I gelled well together. He was very much like me. An introvert and a geek by
nature. He has a very innocent smile and gaze. Later I gelled with other group
people too. By this time I had started feeling much better, but still there was
an invisible wall between me and the group. It was the language. They preferred
Marathi, which was like Malayalam for me. So, most of the time I didn t know what
was going on and had no choice but to keep mum. Because of this my friends got t
he wrong impression that I like to remain reserved.
Few days later I came to know two more persons. One punjabi kuri, SB, and anothe
r Marathi gal, SA. SB is a good friend of MA. They are friends for past four yea
rs, so it was quite natural that they were always seen together, but this gave m
e the wrong idea that they were more than just friends. SB is an unusual girl. S
he has a very (as VK puts it) loud body language and is very polished. Her first i
mpression over others is usually as a snob. As far as I am concerned, I didn t fee
l like that. I formed my opinion about her quite later. I was way too much amaze
d by her way of talking. Her way of talking is child-like, which in Hindi we cal
l totla . Its cute and weird both when spoken by a 21 year old person. I will reall
y miss that voice. Later as I came to know her better I found out that she is al
so very intelligent, only that she is too lazy or distracted to use it. Things t
hat I like the most about her is her jovial nature. She is always fun to be with
. Always happy and rarely sad.
Now about SA. Her first impression on me was that she is a gujju girl. This is b
ecause I have an impression that usually gujju girls have good figures and are v
ery simple minded and innocent. She is very much like Gattu of Ba Bahu Aur Baby ; sim
ple, innocent, smiling and happy. M is a lucky man. I envy him. She is definitel
y the most pampered kid of her home. Its awesome, how can someone maintain ones
child-like innocence to the adulthood. Her family must have put great efforts in
insulating her from the vices of the world. Given that, she gets upset so easil
y, I can only pray that she grows up soon.
Before our EC1 exam, MA and I decided to stay back at the lab for a whole night
to complete the exercise. At around 11 pm changu-mangu too joined us. By-the-way
, changu-mangu are SB and SA. I call them that because they always (mark it, alw
ays) stay together, as if they are advertising Fevicol-ka-jhor (pardon me for th
is mercilessly poor joke). Many times they even wear similar dresses. They are s
imilar in more than one ways. They are both jovial, energetic and always remain
stuck to their cell phones. I have seen people speaking so much over the phone o
nly when they have bf or gf. It is true in case of SA, but I am still confused a
bout SB. Anyway back to the lab; we started solving our exercises. By 1 or 2 am
MA and SB where worn out and started dozing off. SA and I continued to rack our
brains. Few minutes later changu-mangu left for their room. Our hotel being 18 K
M from Technopark, we had no choice but to wait till morning. I also dozed off f
or an hour or two and then I continued with the exercises again. After 2 am the
only thing MA did was doze off and suddenly wakeup and unlock the screen and the
n doze off again. At 6 am we left for our hotel. It was Sunday. We then spent th
e whole Sunday sleeping while our other friends set out for Technopark to comple
te the exercises.
Before I move on I would like to comment about MA. He has a good personality. He
makes his presence felt. He became our unofficial transport facilitator. One th
ing we all hated about him is his divide by 6' policy, i.e. no matter how less or
more you eat he used the simple rule of equally dividing the total bill amount
among all the friends there. Other than that he is a nice fellow. He is slight i
mpulsive and he is a complete phattu. While coding for his project, the moment h
e used to come across any deadened he used to start sweating profusely and you c
an clearly notice the tension on his pale face. The best thing in him is that he
takes negative comments about him in positive sense and actually tries to mend
it.
Before our EC2 exam we made an one day trip to Kanyakumari with 19 friends. It w
as fun. SA played a nice trick on NG. We were all in the dark Meditation Room on
the Vivekanada Rock Memorial, when SA asked NG to ask the person sitting before
him to go too. NG thinking that the person was one of the friends, nudged him,
only to realize then that he was not. SA was aware of this and did this on purpo
se. We had a good laugh afterwards.
Kanyakumari lacks a beach hence we went to its shore which had many sharp stones
. Many people returned wounded (including me) from that trip. It was fortunate e
nough that nobody was seriously hurt, which I was afraid of as some of the frien
ds grew too much reckless in their antics and stunts. But it was fun. This is wh
ere I noticed, contrary to my expectation, that SA is quite adventurous. MA was
rather unusually reserved during this. He took over the charge of taking care of
everybody else s belongings and stayed away from the water. During this trip I al
so noticed NG s inclination towards meditation, religion and nature. I too have an
inclination towards nature. I don t usually share my feelings with my friends, be
cause contrary to general wisdom, it makes me feel worse. The sunset and the cal
m after that usually unsettles whatever is locked inside me. Damn!
NG, as I have already pointed out earlier, appreciates nature and has an inclina
tion towards meditation. He too seems to observe people keenly. He has a very ba
d habit of using really bad examples to explain things or describe someone. He c
an sometimes get on your nerves but is usually a nice person to be with. May God
help him with his examples. Another very intriguing thing about him is that he
is some kind of gay magnet! Maybe it is because of his slight girlish way of tal
king or anything else.
Back from our Kanyakumari trip, we were greeted by the tense cloud of looming EC
2 exam. We had to work on Sunday and late in Monday to finish our project. After
EC2 EC3, EC4 and EC5 came at such a pace that I could barely recall anything fr
om then except for random memories. This brings us to Thombya.
Thombya is a Marathi word which is used to refer dumb people. ShaB nick-named MS
as Thombya. We used to call him that because of his too short short-time memory
and his unusual goof ups. One of his classic goof ups is when after having a cu
pful of tea he exclaims It was nice coffee! He actually thought he was drinking
coffee when he was actually having tea! He opts to remain quite most of the time
, but he has a lot of mischievous ideas running through his head all the time.
After our EC3 exam, many of us planned for a trip to Velli, Kovalam Beach etc. I
was looking forward to it as it was our last trip together. On the day of trip
even after repeated request from me SD refused to come along. This made me adama
nt and I too ultimately didn t go and sulked the whole day in the hotel. Yup, I ma
ke stupid decisions when I go adamant. Few minutes later we were scolded on the
phone by SA. Oops! That day in the evening SD, MS, ShaB and NG paid a visit to a
n Ayurvedic Kerela Message center. There they got a lot more than they had barga
ined for, in particular NG. When they told MA and me what more happened there we
had the laugh of a lifetime. I would not discuss it here, because it may embarr
ass them and there is no modest way of writing it here. One thing is for sure I
am never getting a Kerela Message now, nor do I think they will ever try it agai
n.
With this our EC4 and EC5 exams were over sooner than we could realize. After ou
r allocation most of my mumbaiya friends grew a little depressed since only two
of them, SD and NG, got Mumbai, rest were allocated Hyderabad. I got my place of
choice, Kolkata, but the thought that I will have to part ways with them and do
n t know when our paths will cross again, dampened my spirit. I wasn t feeling happy
and felt glum. Damn! I am back to square one. There has been so many times that
I had to part ways with so many of my friends, but I felt this glum only once b
efore this, because this time I have the feeling that this bond will snap sooner
or later.
We all eight were supposed to return from Trivandrum to Mumbai together via trai
n, but later MA, SB and SA chose flight. Our first day of our two day journey to
Mumbai was mostly boring and glum. I don t know why but we were again and again s
inging Yeh tara woh tara har tara in totla voice even when SB was not around to ge
t teased. The second day of trip was great. Everybody was in form that day and t
he scenic beauty on the way was breathe taking. There were fifty plus tunnels on
the way. NG, ShaB and MS had a great time screaming from the door into the tunn
els when the train passed through them. At Thane we bid adieu to ShaB, NG and MS
. At LTT I bid adieu to SD and that was it. The end of one month s memories. Maybe
ILP could have been a little longer.

"Rahul!!! Rahul!!!! Get up Man. Today is the first day of our Professional caree
r and you dog still sleeping. Its 7:30 now. The Buses have already come and will
leave by sharp 8 O' clock" said Sudip. Oh......damn. It's only 7:30 right!!!!!.
" Yes but It's not college Rahul" Said Sudip. This is the first time i realized
that those four percious golden years of my life are gone and this is pune wher
e we have come to get up at 7:30 and reach to the bus by 8 and go to training ce
ntre by 9 sharp. " Hey...don't forget to wear formal dresses with a tie" said Su
dip. What!!!! Formal dresses. But i don't have any. "Rahul, have you come for tr
aining or tracking?" said Sudip. Shit Man...but they should have told us beforeh
and. So that we could have come prepared. "By the way it was written in one of t
he documents of training Kit which was given to us One month back. But u are so
busy with your stuff, u don't have time to go through the Kit at all" said Sudip
. Ok, listen, you can use my formal shirt and trouser but only for today. Ok? Go
and buy some formal dresses today evening. By the way do you know how to knot a
tie?. "No..I don't know" said I. He said "Ok. give it to me i will make the kno
t. By the way you want single knot or double knot?". I said " Com' on sudip, whe
n i don't have formal wears, how can you imagine that i will have a tie?". Sudip
Said " What?? good....very good.....you don't have a tie too.Good you are such
an ass hole.. see....its already 7:50. You can use my tie but only for today. Mi
nd it"
So there we are. Only 5 mins late in reaching the TCS bus. The bus is around 90%
full. Rest all buses are gone. Thank god. Finally we could manage to get the la
st bus. " We are late because of you fool" said Sudip. Cool Man!!! Why are you s
o serious!!! What will happen....Worst case we might have to bunk our first day
in TCS. No big Deal..... Said I. Sudip said "This is not college Rahul". That is
the second time i realized that we can't bunk in training even for a single day
else that will cause a loss of one day's salary. " See... because of you all th
e bus is full. Only the last row is empty" said Sudip. Its Ok. yaar. Anyways i w
as always a back bencher in college. So who cares if the same thing continues in
TCS also!!! So finally we reached at CMC campus Pune. For all TCS trainees the
CMC conducts the training program. We all were shown the door to a seminar hall.
Its cool man. Thank god the A/C is on. i finally found a corner seat so that i
can rest myself against the wall while sitting or rather sleeping. There he is t
he ILP Co-ordinator at the dais. " Dear all Associates, Welcome to Tata Family.
A very warm welcome to Tata Consultancy Services. I am the Co-ordinator of this
ILP pune branch. You are going to spend the next 44 days here in pune. Here you w
ill be taught the various stages of software engineering and apart from that sof
t skills, foreign lanugages, team work, ethics everything. i hope you have a ple
asant stay in Pune" and the speech continued for the next 10-15 mins. Naturally
i was not interested in learning a bit of speech. i just wanted to sleep as sudi
p woke me up early in the morning as 7:30 is early morning in my dictionary. At t
he end of the speech he came to the real point i.e. the breakfast is arranged ou
tside the seminar hall and we are given 30 mins to have it and come back so that
he can proceed with the joining formalities. We all came back and stuck to our
seat. That awesome breakfast gave fuel to my sleeps. With the proceeding of the
joining formalities my casual sleep proceeded to deep sleep.
" Rahul, Rahul...... Wake up Man!! How many hours more would you sleep?" said Su
dip. " Ahhhh......i was in deep sleep. i saw my watch its 12:30 that means the m
orning breakfast fuelled my sleep for 2 hr 30 mins. by the way it was a nice bre
akfast and that to free of cost." Yes you finally woke up for another free lunch
....you fatso" Sudip. By the way have you got the habit of waking people when th
ey are deep asleep or does tcs pay you more salary for that? Ok tell me what hap
pened till now?. " The Delivery Centre Head of Pune branch had come. She gave an
awesome speech. You know TCS is the largest software compnay in ASIA!!!!" Sudip
said. I thought thank god i was sleeeping by that time else i had to bear all t
he torture for 2 and half hours. " OK. Let's go for lunch and don't dare to slee
p in the afternoon. The co-ordinatior said we will have to fill up some forms an
d we will be given ID cards. ok its lunch time, again lunch is free Yepeee.... T
hank god the afternoon was not that boring. We saw some cool videos made by some
TCS associates about the Working culture in TCS. And at the end of the day agai
n Coffee. God i can't forget the food stuffs whatever might happen. By 7 O' cloc
k in evening we all were into nyati tower where accomodation was being provided
for the next 44 days. The first day in TCS is over and perhaps we earned 500 Ind
ian Rupees by the end of the day. Now for dinner there are two options. Either y
ou go to the nearby Siyaram restaurant or you can order for dabba. Sudip said "
i will have dabba in home". But i was in no mood to eat those vegeterian dabba f
ood on the first day of TCS and that to when there is a near by restaurant. Fort
unately the person who sat beside me in the bus while coming to nyati towers had
already had a deal with me for going together to the restaurant. i told Sudip "
Sudip, you have your dinner here. i am going to the restaurant. From tomorrow i
will join with you". Actually that tomorrow never came. The whole 44 days i ate
dinner in Siyaram only.
Me and Ankit (the person who sat besides me in the bus) went to Siyaram exactly
at 9:00 PM. We were hoping for a cool dinner but when we reached Siyaram the sce
ne was totally different. Siyaram was totally full and a huge crowd waiting outs
ide for their turn. .I asked " Ankit, Does Siyaram offers dinner Free like today
's breakfast and lunch?". It was such a huge crowd that almost all the trainees
have come here for dinner except Sudip. He is the only potential customer of the
Dabbawala. We were totally frustrated whether we both will get a half pice of r
oti or not.But as they say " Always be optimistic. Whatever happens happens for
good". Sunita and Monalisa were also waiting there for dinner. Sunita saw me and
flagged her hand towards me. Cool. its good when a beautiful girl calls you to
accompany her in such a huge crowd although she was from my college but who else
knows. " Hi Sunita. Hi Monalisa. Meet Ankit. Both of you are also waiting for d
inner". " Yes. since last half an hour. But you see Rahul such a huge crowd".
By that time my mind was somewhere else. yes !!! it was around Monalisa. She is
really beautiful Man. and might be since i did not have a single affair in colle
ge. Forget about affairs, i hardly used to talk to girls except those who were i
n my Lab project group. "Come on!! Ask ask something Monalisa " was the voice co
ming somewhere from my brain. " So how was your day?" asked Monalisa. Yepee...Fi
nally she spoke to me. i answered " Well, Struggled a lot". " Struggled!!!! toda
y!! how?" asked Monalisa. Welled struggled to keep my eyes open but totally in v
ain. But Yes during afternoon i was bit of successful. " He...ehe hee." Both of
them smiled. Monalisa is really cute when she smiles. I said " See the struggle
is not complete yet. We need to succeed else we wont be able to get dinner today
." Hahahaa.....hahaa.......laughed we all four. " Ok. now we are four. you all w
ait here. i am going inside and will ask manager to arrange a table for four." I
said. Then i went inside. The manager was really busy in managing tables and al
l these people are bugging him like anything. I went to the manager." Manager!!!
i need a table of four." Manager said " Sir, its really crowded and people are
waiting. i am noting down your name and will tell u once your turn comes." I wen
t close to the manager and said in his ear " Listen, you ask my name earlier and
a good tip is waiting for you and i am waiting outside. don't forget". He repli
ed " I will try sir." Then i came outside the restaurant. Sunita asked " What ha
ppened!! is any table available? what the manager said?". I said " Yes it will t
ake only 5-10 mins". After 5 mins the Manager shouted " Rahul!! Table for four".
Ok. Let's go. Our table is ready. By that time Monalisa was shocked. After we s
ettled down on our table, Monalisa asked " How come the manager called for your
name when people before us are still waiting?"." Because the Manager recognised
the rising star of TCS" I replied. " Hmm.....Rising Star.....Who was sleeping th
e whole day and rose only in the evening" Said Monalisa. Haa..aahhahaa..........
.we all laughed. We had a nice dinner. The service was good, might be because of
the tip which i had promised earlier. And after dinner i was deadly begging for
the bed and this schedule continued for the next 44 days of my stay in pune.
From day two onwards we all were put into different groups and the list was post
ed on the wall entering the training room. First of all i checked whether me, Su
dip, Sunita and monalisa are in one group or not. Sudip is in Group 4. Sunita is
in group 5. I am in Group 10. and yes monalisa is also in Group 10. God is Grea
t. i thought the future 44 days are going to be awesome with monalisa in my grou
p. The Time table for group 10 was designed taking into consideration of my slee
p. It's because all the morning sessions before lunch were on technical subjects
and the afternoon sessions were on soft skills, foreign languages, games. So as
usual i used to complete my sleep during morning sessions and fully active duri
ng afternoon sessions partly because of the mam who taught us German Language. M
an. She is hot!!!!!! really hot!!!!!!.
After the sessions are over, we used to come back at 8 PM in the evening. But th
e bad thing was we were given loads of assignments which needs to be completed b
y tomorrow morning. But the good thing was the assignments were assigned to a gr
oup. In my group there were two south indian girls and one guy from aligarh musl
im university. All of us were damn serious about the project except me. Now the
good thing was we all had to meet somewhere in the night and complete the assign
ments. Friends don't take it otherwise. One southindian girl named Divya was the
leader of our group. i used to call him PL(Project Leader) and i was the loser
in that group. Divya never counted me while distributing the tasks but she was n
ot angry though. I was the most happening guy in the group when the topic of dis
cussion was anything apart from studies. Everyday Divya used to tell us to reach
her flat by sharp 9:30 PM and everyday my answer was " Divya,U imagine, after a
long day's work we come to room at 8PM. Then for relaxation and dinner only one
and half hours. That's not fair. Let's schedule the meeting at 10:30". This use
d to be my punchline everyday during the training. and in reply she used to say
the same thing i.e. " Com'on Rahul, We have a lot of things to do. Other groups
are pretty much ahead of us. We need to work hard. So 9:30 means 9:30. Be punctu
al Rahul. OK?".
i thought she is the real project leader material. TCS needs associates like her
not like me who completes half of his sleep during morning sessions. But even a
fter repeated warnings of divya i used to be fast asleep by the time Divya calls
. and the following scene used to happen everyday. After having dialled for 4-5 t
imes i will pick up the phone saying " hey Divya, i am coming. There is a huge c
rowd at siyaram. completed my dinner, will be there in 10 mins". She said " Now
don't tell lies Rahul, i had seen u come out of Siyaram at 8:45. I know u must b
e sleeping at room. Com'on come soon. We are already late.". "Ok, Ok coming Divy
a" i said. " So there you are Mr. Rahul. 30 mins late". I said " Sorry guys, won
't happen again" . Divya said " Rahul, today you have to draw the Entity Relatio
nship Diagram for the Customer Relationship branch of the bank". i said " Divya!
! have you got something to eat?" .Divya replied "Rahul, By the way you are comi
ng from Siyaram right?" ." No, i had been to Siyaram two long hours back." i sai
d. Divya said " Ok i have got banana chips". I said" ya please please Divya...an
d see if some other kinds of chips are available!!!!!".
Now here she is with 3 different types of chips and with a giggle in her face. I
know girls love me. Divya said " Now have chips and continue with your entity d
iagram". I happily ate around 70 percent of the chips by the time the other peop
le hardly managed to have 3-4 chips. I said "Divya!!! Please give me the pillow.
I will put it on my lap. it's very cold yaar. just give me no..!!". after takin
g the pillow i was again into my dreams. After 10 mins ...Divya shouted.........
.Milan!!! you are sleeping!!!!. Get up and give me the pillow. You are not going
to work with the pillow. I said " No yaar, i am thinking. i am not sleeping. Fi
rst let me think how effectively i can do the ER diagram, then i will draw. Ok.
Now don't disturb me while i am thinking". after 3 and half hours ie around 1:30
AM Divya shouted again. Milan!! Milan!!! wake up. Are you done with ur ER diagr
am?. I said " Actually No...yes kind of actually thinking about the diagram". Di
vya said " You took pretty 3 and half hours and did not come up with a single di
agram. Let me check your sheet. Whether you have written some thing or not. Yes
it is there. The complete ER diagram is there. Why you were telling that you hav
e not done. When i saw the sheet a pretty complex ER diagram has already been dr
awn on my sheet. Now there she is ...Divya.....smiling at me.
The other two memebers also laughed at me. I knew Divya has done this for me whi
le i was fast asleep. I said " Thanks Divya. So nice of you. From tomorrow onwar
ds i will actively participate in assignments ok!!!. Divya said " OK, Milan. Now
go to your room and complete the rest of the sleep. I will explain you the Diag
ram tomorrow in the class". By the time i was about to leave her room, Divya sai
d " Rahul!! Some more chips are still left in the plate. Would you like to have
some mere?". I said "No but thanks Divya for the chips. please keep it safe for
tomorrow". Divya giggled again. Good night and Sweet Dreams Divya. Same to you M
ilan. Bye bye.
The 44 days of Initial learning program just flew away like 44 mins or rather 44
seconds. Now we have reached to the end of the journey. The 44 days were just l
ike the extension of our college life but the good thing was we were being paid
for enjoying the holiday. That's why it is being said that the ILP program of TC
S is a paid holiday.
13th December 7 O' clock in the morning. Sudip Said " Milan !!! get up man. Toda
y is the last day of our training program. And you know, today is a very importa
nt day. Not that today is the last day rather today MATC will come and decide th
e fate of our future endeavour." I said " Good Morning Sudip. You know i did not
sleep last night. Feeling kind of sad because i have made some very good friend
s here man and i really don't want to loose them". Sudip Said " Yes Man. Even i
am sad. Not for everybody but for Sunita". I said " What? Sunita. Are you mad? W
hen? ". Sudip said " I don't know. But i like her man. I don't know what love is
. But i think i love her". I said " Cool Man!! Now here is our romeo. Boss you k
now, she was with us for the last 4 years in college (although in a different br
anch). And you are saying now you are in love. But then what is the problem?". S
udip Said " Today MATC will decide who will join which branch of TCS". I said "
But then we four are opting for Hyderabad as our first option right!!!. Then wha
t is the problem?". Sudip said "No man. Sunita is planning to go to banglore". I
said "Who told you?". Sudip Said "Monalisa was telling me that Sunita might opt
for banglore. Her sister is there in banglore". I said "She might opt for it ri
ght!!!! but not yet. Don't worry man. I will pursuade her. i know her. She will
come with us. Now cheer up man". Sudip said " Thanks man. Just talk to her. and
get up soon else we will be late on the last day too".
But bad habits don't go away soon. Still struggled much to reach the bus stop by
8:30 AM. Finally boarded the bus and fortunate enough to see that some front se
ats were vacant. while sitting in one of the front rows, someone from back calle
d me Rahul!!! Rahul!!!". When i turned back, i saw its Divya. How can i forget h
er. For the last 44 days she was my saviour. She always used to do my assignment
with a giggling smile on her face, served a variety of chips and the best part
was she always used to tell me rather inspire me saying "Milan!!! I know you don
't do assignments but you are special and talented. You will get success and alw
ays keep smiling and be happy. i think she was the only girl in that training pr
ogram, who used to admire me a lot and helped me a lot. We had a very good frien
dship by then".
I said " Hi Divya. Good morning PL". Divya said " Stop it Rahul. Now no more. We
have already delivered our final assignment yesterday. So no assignments...no p
l. By the way where are you opting for? Hyderabad?". I said " Yes Hyderabad. Tha
t is the only place nearer to Orissa as there is no TCS office in Orissa. But an
yways thanks for everything Divya. Starting from helping me out in assignements
to the homemade chips to mentoring me and finding me special". Divya said " You
are special Rahul. Your smile is special. Never ever be sad and if you are then
remember its only a phone call which can make you happy and inspire. Ok?". I sai
d " Yes, I will. Thanks again. By the way you must be opting for Chennai right!!
!" Divya said "Yes. i am opting for Chennai. My hometown. And all the best for H
yderabad. I hope all four of you will get hyderabad. I mean sudip, monalisa and
sunita are also opting for hyderabad right!!!" I said "Yes, sudip and monalisa a
re opting for hyderabad but not sure about sunita. i heard that she is opting fo
r hyderabad. But my PL, i will miss you. Be in touch Ok?". Divya said "yes i wil
l Rahul".
We reached training centre by 9:30. Immediately i went to Sunita's class and sea
rched for her. By that time everybody from her class knew that sunita and i were
from same college and if i have come to their class, then it must have been for
sunita only. Suddenly renji waved his hand to me and directed me to sunita. Sun
ita said " Hi Rahul, good morning. So you must be happy that training is over an
d you don't have to do any more assignments right!!!". I said "Yes, after 44 day
s of hard work and dedication for training program, now i am tired". Sunita said
" Yes i know. Divya had already told me, how much you work for assignments.

For last four weeks I am at TCS ILP in Noida only. TCS have outsourced this faci
lity to Almamate and most of our needs are answered by this statement only. The
experience till now is worst and everybody is thinking that they are teaching us
to spend time on bench, a very common thing at TCS when they don t have any proje
ct for an employee. Most of the classes here are self-learning and we are doing
really good in it by learning new games and doing some new activities, but nothi
ng had ever sufficed to pass the whole day.
Usually our day start by getting late by a few minutes and than we used to encha
nt guard to put our time under limits, however he never did this. Than we move o
n to our class however, our seats are always preoccupied and we behaves like kha
nabadosh to get some new seats, in my luck I always got the seat whose IP addres
s is blocked and I go and ask for it to unblock, this really made me popular amo
ng the administrator department of Almamate, but this is unused, and the disadva
ntage is that whenever any wrong thing happens they call me and ask me to class,
too much of the work and especially when nobody is ready to listen. Like the IP
address most of the sites are blocked, they have blocked our all fun and even o
ur mails and they say we are there employees, its really hard to say this thing
from our side as they didn t give our salary for the fortnight we worked.
They say it is the most rigorous period at TCS, and I am shocked by the work tha
t we have. Its actually sitting idle for more than 6 hours in a day, but as we h
ave taught in our childhood that one should find positive things even in a worst
of the situation, so even in this situation we learn a great thing and that is
the statement we have been taught is wrong! Wow, its a big discovery in itself,
not every bad happening can bring some joy with it or anything like that, this t
ime we seriously don t able to find anything good, but I hope this will really be
good for our future and as TCS says it is really useful for us to have smooth tr
ansition from campus life to office life and as per them we can be at there s stand
ard I don t know what standard they define at such a huge salary that they pay us t
o.
Ohh! I forget to mention the worst part of the story and its they treat us like
school children, we have to be properly uniformed, or say technically, well groo
med, we have to wear tie all the time and we should be ready for our senior s repr
ove at anytime, they can burst whenever they wish like.
Freedom@TCS-ILP is actually denied and we can t even go to the cafeteria downstair
s even in the self-learning sessions, we can t talk on phones and they have advise
d us to keep it switched off! And yes, only thing you will find is boredom. Ther
e is one positive point and it is some of our becoming good friends but in such
a small time I still stagnant on the point of friendship as most of us even neve
r be together again but yes lets grasp the moments and try to enjoy all the mome
nts that we have as these are the last moments we have as friends and last breat
hs to hold the schooling feeling anymore, yes now I can say, we can really find
some positive points in any thing we dare to think.
