"Propagation of Hindi Abroad” Scheme

The scheme is administered by the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central Institute


of Hindi), Agra under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of
India. The academic session 2010-11 may commence on 1 August 2010.

 Candidates whose age is between 21 years to 35 years and who have


studied Hindi for at least one or two years are eligible.

 The candidate selected for award of scholarship will be granted


admission by the Sansthan at its headquarters at Agra.

 The Sansthan would make efforts to provide hostel accomodation to the


selected candidate(s) on nominal charges of Rs. 250 per month for
water, electricity, cleaning etc.

 The accepted candidate will, however, be required to bear the


expenditure on food that will be provided in the mess.

 It is compulsory for the students to join the mess.

 The air-fair (economy class) both ways by shortest route for the selected
candidate(s) will be provided by the Sansthan.

 Stay in hostel is compulsory. No one will be allowed to stay outside.

 Candidates must note that only vegetarian Indian food will be served in
the hostel i.e. roti, dal, rice and cooked vegetables.

 It is not permissible to allow any candidate to go back without


completing the full academic term.

 Winter vacation will be from 12-15 Days in December/January.

 Only 15 Days leave will be given in the whole session: 1 August 2010 to
30 April 2011. Maximum 5 Days leave will be granted by the Head of the
department at one time. Leave can be granted supported by the Medical
certificate otherwise Rs. 50 will be charged per day for the absence in
the class.

 Eligible candidates may submit applications on prescribed application


from, alongwith personal biodata, photographs, physical fitness,
certificate of academic attainments and other relevant documents in
support of the application.

 Candidates, who are willing to stay in India at Agra for the full academic
term, need only apply. It will not be possible to consider any request for
allowing the candidate to stay at New Delhi under any circumstances.

 Last date receiving the applications, complete in all respects, is


20 May 2010.

 Incomplete applications or the applications which are not on the


prescribed format shall be rejected.

 The recommendations/No-objection certificate of the Government


concerned may also be forwarded, alongwith the application form.
