• Organizations are divided into three basic levels; Organization System Level,
Group Level and Individual level
• Organization systems level it the level at which initial policies rules and
regulations are formed, which serves as a basic building block of
organization’s structure and culture.
o Productivity
o Turnover
• The first level of structure then gives rise to the second level that is the group
level.
• The type of leadership and the trust in them then determines the structure of
groups in which the employees are to work.
o Group structure
o Work teams
o Communication
• The structure of group can lead to conflicts and phenomena like power game
and politics. So better the system’s policies better would be the running of an
organization.
• After this is the third level which is the individual level.
• Individual level is the most complex level as each and every employee has a
different psychology.
o Human input
o Polishing abilities
o Individual learning
o Motivation
o Amount of stress
• We should not forget that along with policies and structure, Biographical
characteristics run side by side which are;
o Personality
o Emotions
o Attitude
• Summarizing the whole models lets us know that all the three levels are
interlinked to a great deal and have a deep impact on each other, starting
from organization’s systems level to individual level and running side by side
are the personal characteristics of the employees. And having right policies
with people of right attitude and psychology and right execution can lead to a
smooth running profitable organization. (Organizational behavior is just one
of the several determinants of organization’s growth and profitability)
