1. (a) Write a detailed summary of European expandable launch vehicles.
(b) Discuss in detail the various operational centers of ISRO and their Responsibilities. [8+8] 2. (a) Why is it necessary to estimate the Frequency Shift caused by Doppler Effect when dealing with Satellite Communication. (b) What is an Eclipse? How it affects the Satellite Function? Explain the way by which the satellite functional normally. [6+10] 3. (a) Draw and Explain the block diagram of a Simplified double conversion transponder for 14/11 GHz. (b) Explain the different types of space craft antennas and give their radiation patterns with necessary diagrams. [8+8] 4. (a) A Satellite receiving system consists of an aerial waveguide runs from the aerial to the input of the first amplifier, low noise first amplifier and succeeding stages.
