To PLAN AND IMPLEMENT THE PLANT for PROCESSING

AND PACKAGING of GRAM (popularly known as“bengal
gram”).

• Preheating is required for making the gram inside the husk to be crispy and for
the easy removal of husk

 PROCESS - Step-IV (Sorting)
• Until the final stage of processing in some of the fried gram, the
husk will not be removed .

• To filter such grams sorter is used

• LSC (Line Scanner Camera) Technology is used.

 PROCESS - Step-V (Packing)
• 54 , 30 , 10 kilograms and 500 , 200 , 100 ,50 gram packs

• semi-automatic and manual packaging methods are used for

packing 54, 30, 10 kilogram bags.

• Automatic packaging is used for 500 , 200 , 100 ,50 gram

packets.

•The capacity of the automatic packing machine is 350 kilograms

per hour on an average.

• From the material cost , labor cost for construction and material
required for each square feet the following figures are arrived

a concrete roof building requires Rs 360

a cement floored area open to sky requires Rs 50

Raw material = 24500 / ton
Initial requirement = 10 tons
So, raw material cost = Rs 2,45,000
 
Power consumed = Rs 3000 / lot (1lot = 10 to 15 tons)
 
Firing oil cost
1 liter firing oil = Rs 26
Consumption= 35 lit/ton
So total cost of oil = Rs 26,000
 
Lubrication oil = Rs 27
Consumption (for all machines) = 20 lit/lot
So total cost of lubrication oil = Rs 540
 
Total cost for the pilot run = Rs 2,74,540
