The Sai Temple sees a daily flow of about 300 to 400 devotees which
surge to about 1,500 on Thursdays and other occasions like Ram
Navami, Dassera, Guru Purnima, Dutta and Hanuman Jayanti, Nag
Panchami and Diwali Laxmi Pooja, apart from the Akshaya Tritiya
every year when the opening of the Sai Temple is commemorated with
a 5 days function, whose culmination is done with the Bhandara from
12 noon till the evening.
Kadam added, "We plan to build a Bhakt Nivas at Shirdi which can
accommodate 500 to 600 devotees who go walking to Shirdi next to
the main Sai temple. There will prasad facilities available and
if the devotees let us know in advance for us to provide them Bathing
and other Toiletry Facilities. The Idol of Sai Baba here is one inch
shorter than the one in Shirdi and the whole area surrounding the
statue is air conditioned, with proper lighting which highlights the
statue of Shri Saibaba."
