Spiritual Gifts: Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11,
1 Corinthians 12:28-31, Ephesians 4:7-13, 1 Peter 4:10
Greek Word: Pneumatika means spiritual ________________.
Spiritual Gifts:
a. ___________________ A specific set of
behaviors associated with a position held by an
individual, placed by the Holy Spirit, within the Body
of Christ.
b. ___________________ A particular activity
performed through an individual, with the Body of
Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
c. ___________________ A momentary
supernatural empowerment expressed through
an individual, within the Body of Christ, by the Holy
Spirit.
Discernment: The spiritual expression that enables a person to
distinguish truth from error. A momentary empowerment to
discern the difference between good vs. evil, right vs. wrong, or
demonic vs. angelic.
Results & Cautions:
Biblical Example: Matthew 16:21-23
Tongues: A momentary empowerment by the Holy Spirit
enabling a person to speak out in a language that is unknown.
Results & Cautions:
Biblical Example: Acts 2:4-13
Interpretation: A momentary empowerment by the Holy Spirit
enabling a person to have the understanding of a message that
has been given in “tongues” (a language unknown to the person
speaking it and the person interpreting it).
