Foundation of EIILM University
EIILM University, Jorethang, Sikkim, was established
under Sec 2(f) of UGC Act and ACT No.4, 2006 of the
Govternment of Sikkim. The Act received assent of the
Governor on March 24, 2006 that was published under
the Government of Sikkim, Gazette Notification
No.28/LD/2006, dated April 3, 2006.
EIILM University has been established on the foundation
of progressive academic principles. The University
carries the heritage of pioneering higher education in
India based on international models. It endeavors to
maintain the same high standard to achieve global
presence. At EIILM University, academic programs are
benchmarked against the best academic and
professional standards. Courseware is periodically
reviewed to meet industry requirement and student
aspiration. The courses are designed to give students an
opportunity to apply their intelligence, creativity and
leadership skills to the challenges of the technology
driven world.

The Legacy
The Sponsoring Body for EIILM University The Eastern
Institute for Integrated Learning in Management
(EIILM) Kolkatta, established in 1995, aimed to provide
higher education in India through varied programs.
EIILM holds record of achieving quality standards
through: EQUIS (European Quality Certification of
University Education).
From its inception, All India Council of Technical
Education, Government of India, approved EIILM's
Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management
(PGDBM). The Institute started offering MBA programs
under Visva Bharati, a Central University since 1951.
EIILM got the status of a 'Constituents College of Visva
Bharati'. Visva Bharati had involved EIILM University
representatives on its 'Board of Studies'; the
examination papers were set and also evaluated by
different faculty members of EIILM.

EIILM University campus, located at the foothills of
Himalayas, in the state of Sikkim, is a model of modern
education. Designed and developed with the objective
of providing aesthetic learning atmosphere, it's a hub

presentations. Our centrally air-conditioned campus,

upgrade mechanism in place to keep abreast with fast
changing / developing technology scene. The Lab has
Broadband connectivity available on all the nodes
through a dedicated Local Area Network (LAN). The lab
is equipped with latest laser printer, scanner etc.
Recreational Centre
Recreation Rooms equipped with television, newspa-
pers with comfortable seating is been provided to the
residents. In fact, homely ambience encourages them
to spend most of the spare time at the Residency.
Conference Rooms are available for meeting, classes
and informal recreation.
Indoor games like Carom, Chess, Table Tennis etc are
also available.
Students are also encouraged and indulged in Yoga
sessions from time to time to rejuvenate their young
minds to breathe freely and independently.
Hostel Accomodation
Hostel is like a home away from the Home. We aim to
provide a warm homely atmosphere at our Hostel. The
hostel is located in the lush green environment
enveloped in flora and fauna of Sikkim, a place of
spiritualism and aesthetic. There is a separate
accommodation for Boys and Girls, with well furnished
rooms.
The bustling and eventful life here ensures that there is
enough to keep the students engaged. In addition, the
holistic and comfortable ambience here contributes
significantly to superior academic performance. The
accommodation offered is been designed to provide
comfort and basic amenities.
Medicare
The University has the basic medical facility with the
collaboration of the resident Doctor available round the
clock. Those need specialized treatment are sent to
Central Hospital in an ambulance available round the
clock.
Cafeteria
There is a provision of wholesome and nutritious meals
at subsidized rates. The snack outlet offers snacks and
beverages as an additional premium services on
payment basis. The cafeteria provides both vegetarian
and Non vegetarian food.

Centre of Corporate Relation (CCR) &
Placement Cell
While CCR has the mandate to progressively enhance
synergies between the institute & the Industry. The
Placement cell exists to meet student's long term and
short term career needs. Both function in close
coordination with various student bodies like
MSS(Management Science Society) for better and
active industry- academic interface. It offers
personalized counseling communication training,
resume construction and mock interviews. Our main
emphasis is to provide a student adequate
opportunities to choose a job in his/her area of
specialization. The sponsoring body of the EIILM
University has a record of 100 placement. EIILM
University holds a very strong network with the
Corporate and the Industry Heads.
Placement Committee & Procedure
EIILM constitutes its Placement Committee comprising
of Director, Dean Academic, Chairman Placement,

elect their representatives. Placement cell keeps in
constant touch with the students' alumni to promote
placement activities.
Placement Committee plans and formulates strategies
for the placement activities. It provides necessary
support and guidance to students for strengthening
placement activities and conducts reviews periodically.
It serves as a liaison with the corporate world
maintaining a strong relationship with the industry.
After the initial selections, pre-placement discussions
are arranged between students and organization
representatives. Interviews may be taken on campus or
through EIILM's Campus At Your Place (CAYP) programme,
by which arrangements are made to send students to a
venue of the organization's choice. Direct recruitment
through this system is quality assured and cost efficient.

Career Guidance Cell
EIILM University has been successful in meeting the

Candidates applying for admission through Centers of
EIILM University should read the following instructions
carefully
Candidate should satisfy the minimum required
qualification for the opted courses and hold relevant
certificate/ degree/ diploma from a recognized
Institute.
The candidates should ensure, before submitting the
application for admission, whether EIILM University
offers their choice of courses (available in the latest
prospectus, also available on the Website) and that they
fulfill the eligibility conditions laid down in the
prospectus for the said course (s).
Admissions are accepted twice a year for January and
July Batch in the respective year.
HOW TO APPLY
! Candidate need to apply through the Admission
Form available at the Admission Office, EIILM

Prospectus, on the payment of Rs 500/-.
Candidate may also download the application
form from the Website and send it along with the
Demand Draft of Rs. 500 /- plus the Admission
cum registration fee drawn in favor of "EIILM
University" payable at Sikkim. Application Form
once sold cannot be taken back and the amount
will not be refunded or adjusted.
! Applicants are required to submit a duly filled
application form completed in all respect by the
candidate his/ her own handwriting. Special care
should be taken to fill up the form legibly and
without overwriting in black/ blue ink and in
capital letters only. No column should be left
blank.

Selection Procedure
! Admissions to all the courses are done on the
basis of the respective competitive exams like EU-
SAT/ EU-MAT/ EU-CAT/EU-GRE conducted by the
EIILM University.
! Candidates with the passing scores would be
eligible for the GD & PI.
! Applicants clearing GD & PI would be provided the
admission in the desired course.
! Admission will be granted to individual candidates
against applications submitted through the
respective approved Centers of the University on
the prescribed Application Form filled up and
completed in all respects by the candidate in their
own handwriting. Special care should be taken to
fill up the form, legibly and without overwriting, in
black/blue ink and in capital letters only. No
columns should be left blank.

! Once the University accepts the duly completed
forms, along with the requisite fees, the
candidates will receive documents, such as
Enrollment Number, Identity Card, etc. in due

issue for the necessary rectification?

the cost of education and living of Orphan girl students for study at the Campus in Sikkim.

This is again yet another pioneering effort by EIILM to empower these under-privileged homeless young women
Board of Management and to provide better education and career opportunities for young women in the 21st Century.

The Girl student will be selected on merit cum need basis nominated by different NGOs, School Principals and
