Case Study for Personnel Finance Project of M/S, Ashok Food Products Pyt.Limited Mr. Ashok, Chairman & M.D, Of Multi Products Group in Mumbai decided to set up Food Division to manufacture Container Juices of Pineapple, Apple, Mango and supply to all India levels, He named the company as Ashok Food Products Pvt. Limited, He bought the land in Jalgaon MIDC and decided to invest 100 Cr, for total project. He also appointed Mr, Gopal as CEO for the project to take care of all operations from the stage of infrastructure till the commissioning of the plant with recruitment of People for various levels. Mr.Gopal being ex-patriate from European country having spent over 2 decades there, qualified Food Technologist with Management qualification ftom European Universities, was not aware of laws of land, He therefore requested M.D. to advise Head-HR to assist hhim to set up projects in the areas of Liaising with govt. authorities and set up the HR Policies including Recruitment and Compensation Plan for all levels of People in the project. The M.D. called the Meeting of both people in his cabin and after length of discussion advised Head-HR to assist Mr,Gopal in the Project with the directives that the labour cost in Project should not exceed 30 Lac per annum at the construction stage and later on should not exceed 25 Jaes per annum on HR including indirect cost. He should frame the policies of HR keeping in the mind Policies our group companies as far as Management staff is concerned and also hinted to explore the possibilities of re-location of existing people at Mumbai from different support services like Project, finance etc. He advised both Mr.Gopal and Head HR that this project should commission production now within 1/1/2 yrs from the date of discussion, ‘You as Head-HR, how you will proceed in this process of project and what steps you will take to evolve Compensation Package for this new division from infrastructure stage and {n subsequent stage to start with the production activities.
