PROCEDURES FOR CHECK DISBURSEMENT FOR FALL TERM 10

The Attendance Verification Form will not be required for the fall semester. Instead the
Financial Aid Office will rely directly on attendance information that is submitted by
your instructors via Web Advisor. You do not need to ask your instructors to report
your attendance.

Who will receive a check? Students that are awarded by September 8 and if receiving a
loan promissory note and loan counseling completed by September 8.

When will checks be mailed? The mail date is September 24. As required by the Office
of State Controller, for optimum internal control all checks are mailed. In order to avoid
delays in the receipt of your funds, please confirm that your address is correct in our
Student Information System. Address corrections should be submitted to the Registrar’s
Office. If you are taking courses in a combination of sessions that include the
second eight week term your financial aid will in most instances be paid in two
disbursements.

I was not awarded by September 8 and/or I did not complete my loan requirements
by September 8 when will I receive my check?

** We will do our best to issue the checks on the dates listed above. However, we reserve the right to
change dates if it becomes necessary due to workflows in the Accounting Office or Financial Aid
Office. If it is necessary to adjust the dates it should not vary by more than a day or two at most.

What do I need to do? Attend class and maintain your completion rate and GPA so that
you do not lose your financial aid.
Reminders: In order to receive a refund check we must receive your funds from the
funding source by the date specified. If you are awarded a Stafford Loan you must
complete your master promissory note and entrance loan counseling before funds are
released. Additionally, you must be enrolled for at least six credit hours when your funds
are disbursed.

The Financial Aid Office does reserve the right to request an attendance verification form
when there is conflicting information regarding a student’s attendance.
