REFLECTION

In the first and second week, we talked about being a model. Classroom isa stage
for teachers so when we come in front of the students, we act out like an actor. I saw
that being an effective teacher requires some special sklls. Firstly, using voice is one of
the key points to explain ourselves and I saw the role of voice on conveying right
messages. Secondly, we learned that the effects of nonverbal communication on
education is higher than verbally. Understanding students’ feelings which they try to
hide is very important. And we can make them feel worthy for us with the help of our
language including gestures, mimics and classroom space. In addition to these important
factors, self esteem and self confidence are indispencible features which every teacher
should have. Briefly, teachers who have these things form an ideal teacher identy. And
the thing effected me the most is that believing myself and liking my job are impulse for
me to improve myself for being a good teacher.
