Cricket Club Weekly Update This is what's been going on at the Cricket Club this past week: EVENTS: IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE MONSTER BALL ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30TH, WE WOULD APPRECIATE DROPPING OFF A CHECK AT THE CONDO OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THE SOCIAL COMMITTEE CAN BEGIN MAKING PREPARATIONS. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO THE CRICKET CLUB CONDOMINIUM FOR $30. THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT 11:00 AM THERE WILL BE A FIRST MEETING OF THE “SENIOR ISSUES INTERACTIVE DISCUSSION GROUP” - Topics to be discussed at future meetings include — financial responsibilities, health issues, social awareness, dealing with adult children, giving back to the community through volunteerism, and any other topics that are relevant to the interests of the “Young at Heart” Group in The Cricket Club. Meetings will probably be held once or twice a month. Location - Bombay Room MIAMI DADE CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES AT THE CRIKET CLUB — IF INTERESTED, PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE CLASSES IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO. ACCORDING TO THE COLLEGE, IN ORDER TO PREPARE A COURSE, A REQUISITE NUMBER IS REQUIRED. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS OCTOBER 22. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE JEWELRY CLASS IS ALREADY FILLED AND CLOSED SO PLEASE TRY TO SIGN UP OVER THE WEEKEND IF POSSIBLE SO PREPARATIONS CAN BE MADE FOR THE OTHERS. PROPERTY NEWS Our Bartender, Wojciech Gorski, unfortunately was in a bike accident. He is leaving the hospital today and will be staying with a friend over the weekend for additional medical care. The office will be contacting him at home next week to see what we can do to assist him. UPDATE ON CONCRETE PROJECT: The Concrete Project has been completed and the Front Gate is now open to cars and light trucks. The gate will be open to heavy truck traffic the first week of November. All delivery trucks will need to enter through the exit gate. Fire Alarm Systems will be performing the annual test and recertification of our fire alarm system. They are scheduled to be here every Tuesday and Thursday until all fire alarms are checked. The alarms will go off periodically while the test is being performed. The First Notice to Owners of the Election of Directors for the Association will be mailed on October 15, 2010, The Annual Meeting date this year is Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Courtesy Notes The speed limit on the property is 10 miles an hour/ 5 miles at Gatehouse.
