REPORTING TO: Operations Director Scope: To take charge of all packhouse operations that goes towards fulfillment of all customer expectations in terms of Quality, Cost and Safety. Responsibilities: 1. Safeguard the company’s haccp principles and all haccp plans for all products to ensure quality, safety and legality for all products. 2. Ensure that all technical and operational trainings are done in the packhouse to make everyone aware of their roles and commit to fulfill them satisfactorily. 3. Make sure that all prerequisite programs are safeguarded in the packhouse to ensure good proof of due diligence in all packhouse operations. 4. Receive the customer programs from marketing and translate them into packhouse requirement in terms of recruitment, training, equipment and all the Five Ms required to handle the heaviest weeks without major hitches. 5. Carry out impromptu staff recruitment for abrupt increments of orders and requisition for staff from administration as per program in time for training and deployment for order completion during the heaviest weeks of the year. 6. Take charge of the New Product Development team and ensure that customer expectations are received and interpreted for the sake of creating new products in keeping with company’s strategic plan. 7. Discussing with the shop floor team, the packhouse plan on a weekly basis after receiving the orders and expected materials for the week, highlighting the problems that are expected and the way the orders are going to be achieved in time for dispatch. 8. Coordinating the whole production process in terms of both technical aspects in order to come up with a product that meets the customers’ expectations in terms of controllable costs, quality, safety and service. 9. Taking charge of all labeling activities in the packhouse to ensure that product identification and Traceability is maintained. 10. To review all data appertaining to all activities happening on the actual production time, signing appropriate records and actioning all the analyses that come from such data. 11. Responsible for all packhouse procedures. 12. Maintaining, motivating and disciplining packhouse staff. 13. Standing in for all direct subordinates without Job covers in times of absence.
