Blueprints Walking Robot 22 August 2004

The blueprint of the walking robot described at http://www.robot.flappie.nl.

The technical drawings are not in scale and measures are in millimeters!

Used materials.
The robot is mainly constructed from 1mm aluminum
plate. This material is pretty easy to use and is strong
enough for the job.

∅10 mm. Aluminum tube, used as legs.

U-profile 15 × 15 mm, 2mm Thick. This profile is perfect

for the legs because the tube fits exactly in it, with
0.5mm clearance on both sides.

Lots of screws, rings and nuts. Use o rings between

every moving part. Especially between the bottom
and leg plate (even better use 2).

The top plate.

The top plate is made off 1mm.
Aluminum. It forms the top of the
robot and supports 4 servo motors
and the circuit board.

Legs
The legs are pretty straight
forward. You need 4 of each of
this parts.
The connection of the leg to the
servo is done with a paperclip.
One side is bended and connected
to the servo. The other side is
squeezed between two nuts on
the leg.
