Our Partner
In 2006, GlobeMed at Northwestern
partnered with Ghana Health Ser-
vices, and through fundraising and
grants, the HOPE Center was built in
Ho, Ghana. The HOPE Center is a rural
health clinic that offers primary
health care services for the commu-
nity. Since the opening of the center
in 2007, GlobeMed has introduced
two outreach programs. In 2007,
GlobeMed started a nutrition pro-
gram targeted at children to alleviate
malnourishment. In 2009, a sexual
and reproductive health program was
initiated to teach high school and uni-
versity students safe sexual practices.
