Market Closure

With great regret we have to announce the closure of Ballygarvan Farmers’

Market. Our apologies to any customers who have made the journey here
today only to be disappointed.

The low level of business at the market has meant it is no longer viable for
stallholders to continue.
Many thanks to all our stallholders who have put in so much time and
effort at the market, often with little monetary return.

We are very grateful to all the people who helped make this market
happen; to the many volunteers and organisers for their time and
equipment, to Ballygarvan GAA and Pat Daly who gave us a home and to
the contributors of our many events – Santa’s grotto, shire horses, carriage
rides, farm animals and pets, Easter egg hunt and live music.
There were many fun and friendly times at this market and we are proud of
the contribution, however small, it has made to community life and local
business endeavours.

Particular thanks are due to the customers who supported our market. Alas,
you were too few in number. We wish you well and hope that you find
other markets and local enterprises to support.
