Topic-Action Heroes—Superheroes?
Lesson Description: This lesson will get students to start to look at stereotypical
perspectives of superhero cartoons and their characteristics.

Objectives:

Knowledge: Students will have an Assessment/Evaluation

Materials: cartoon, tv/projector, poster paper, markers

Prerequisite Learnings: what are stereotypes

Set: MMCW: protagonist/antagonist. 5 min

-the main character

-A character that has conflict or makes


trouble for the protagonist.

-Watch cartoon: Spiderman (first with sound

off, then with sound on.)
Development: -discuss who is the protagonist/antagonist,
would you know this without the sound if the 5 min
characters were unfamiliar?
-get volunteers to share -what makes the protagonist and antagonist
some answers so different, since many qualities of them are
the same(superhuman complex)ex: both use
violence, secret identities, costumes, use of
