Subject:- DRAFT CHAPTER ON ACCELERATED DEVELOPMENT OF LESS

DEVELOPED REGIONS IN PAKISTAN AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

I am directed to refer to your letter No. 2(17)DAD/PD/2009 dated 15.04.2010 on

the subject cited above.
It is purposed that area of less developed regions for Punjab province
the programme may be enhanced to other districts of Southern Punjab to address
the marginalized segment of the society i.e. poorest of poor including D.G.Khan,
Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, R.Y.Khan, Multan, Khanewal and Vehari. It is purposed
that at the time of finalizing the chapter on Accelerated Development of Less
Developed Regions in Pakistan and Rural Development districts of Southern Punjab
may be included as less developing region.
