Timber Design

The Bricostore Ecohouse project repersents a

colaboration between Bricostore and the
Romania Green Build Council. The goal is to
demonstrate the energy and cost efficient Straw
Bale construction method. This display is a
quater section of a small home and will illustrate
both round and rectangular bale construction,
and will provide a workshop as well as a
continuing display of this innovative building

in a section to demonstrate

Simple low profile roof truss design, meets minimum slopes of
Romanian builiding code.

Further detail drawing of top plate and base framing. The height will need to fine
tuned based on the strawbale heights. Nylon ropes or strapping will run from top to
bottom to cinch down the straw bale walls. This same principle applies to the top and
bottom plates on the round column.
