Tawny's Broccoli Beef

1 1/4 lb. beef


2 1/2 lb. broccoli
1 med onion
1 tsp ginger
2-3 cloves garlic
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 Tablespoon wine???
4-5 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/4 cup water
? Tablespoons oil for frying meat

After cutting meat, in bowl, add garlic, ginger, 2 Tablespoons cornstarch and 2-3
Tablespoons soy sauce, add meat and set aside to marinate.

In separate bowl, add 1 heaping Tablespoon cornstarch, water, 2 Tablespoons soy


sauce, wine, and mix well to make sauce.

Brown meat in oil, remove and set aside. Reduce heat, saute onions, adding oil, or
water as necessary. Add broccoli, cover 5 minutes, adding water as necessary to steam
broccoli. When broccoli is bright green and tender, add meat and sauce. Stir, heat to
boil and thicken.
