Sukiyaki

Japanese pan seared beef

1 tsp tapioca startch


2 Tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp sake
1 Tbsp sugar
1 lb thin sliced beef

Mix sugar and soy sauce until sugar is dissolved in bowl. Add remaining ingredients and
mix well. Marinate 30 minutes. Heat 1 Tbsp oil (or shortening?) in pan over high heat.
Sear beef until done.
