Dalam agama Islam, Asmaa'ul husna adalah sembilan puluh sembilan (99) asma (nama) Allah SWT .
Sejak dulu para ulama telah banyak membahas dan menafsirkan nama-nama ini. Meskipun timbul
perbedaan pendapat tentang jumlah nama itu, ada yang menyebut 132, 200, bahkan 1.000 nama, namun
menurut mereka, yang terpenting adalah hakikat Zat Allah SWT yang harus dipahami dan dimengerti
oleh orang-orang yang beriman.

Asmaaulhusna secara harfiah ialah nama-nama Allah yang baik dan agung sesuai dengan sifat-sifat-Nya.
Nama-nama Allah yang agung dan mulia itu merupakan suatu kesatuan yang menyatu dalam kebesaran
dan kehebatan Allah, sebagai pencipta dan pemelihara alam semesta beserta segala isinya.
Kata Allah dalam tulisan
Para ulama berpendapat bahwa kebenaran adalah konsistensi dengan kebenaran yang lain. Dengan cara kaligrafi Arab yang
sederhana.
ini, umat Muslim tidak akan mudah menulis "Allah adalah ...", karena tidak ada satu hal pun yang dapat
disetarakan dengan Allah. Pembahasan berikut hanyalah pendekatan yang disesuaikan dengan konsep
akal kita yang sangat terbatas ini. Semua kata yang dilekatkan pada Allah harus dipahami keberbedaannya dengan penggunaan wajar
kata-kata itu.

Para ulama menekankan bahwa Allah adalah pencipta dan penguasa alam yang abadi dan alam yang fana. Semua nilai kebenaran
mutlak hanya ada (dan bergantung) pada-Nya. Dengan demikian, Allah Maha Tinggi. Tapi juga Allah Maha Dekat. Allah Maka Kuasa.
Tapi juga Allah Maha Pengasih dan Penyayang. Sifat-sifat Allah dijelaskan dengan istilah Asmaaul Husna, yaitu nama-nama yang
baik.

Dalil
Berikut adalah beberapa terjemahan dalil yang terkandung di dalam Al-Qur'an dan Hadis tentang asmaa'ul husna:

"Dialah Allah, tidak ada Tuhan/Ilah (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia, Dia mempunyai asmaa'ul husna (nama-nama yang
baik)." - (Q.S. Thaa-Haa : 8)

Katakanlah: "Serulah Allah atau serulah Ar-Rahman. Dengan nama yang mana saja kamu seru, Dia mempunyai al asmaa'ul
husna (nama-nama yang terbaik) dan janganlah kamu mengeraskan suaramu dalam salatmu dan janganlah pula
merendahkannya dan carilah jalan tengah di antara kedua itu" - (Q.S Al Israa': 110)

"Allah memiliki Asmaa' ulHusna, maka memohonlah kepadaNya dengan menyebut nama-nama yang baik itu..." - (QS. Al
A'raaf : 180)

Nabi saw. bersabda: "Allah itu memiliki sembilan puluh sembilan nama yang bagus. Barang siapa yang mampu menghafalnya,
maka dia akan masuk surga. Sesungguhnya Allah itu ganjil dan Dia menyukai yang ganjil." - (H.R. Abu Hurairah ra)
