DEPARTMENT OF NURSING
October 24, 2009
To whom this may concern:
This letter is on behalf of your applicant, Precious So. I had the pleasure of being
Ms, So’s Clinical Instructor for her pediatric rotation at National University during the
February/March 2009 clinical rotation.
Ms. So was an excellent student. She came to class prepared with thoughtful and
provocative questions. She displayed critical thinking not only in class settings but in the
clinical setting as well. She was a leader in her clinical group.
In the clinical setting Precious was bright and approachable. I often observed Precious
talking with her patients and explaining to them the procedures and/or treatments they did
not understand. She helped explain complex concepts to parents in a manner they could
comprehend. Precious was kind and gentle with the children and interacted with them not
only as a student nurse but as a compassionate, caring individual.
It is as pleasure to recommend Precious So as an addition to your nursing staff. Precious
will be an excellent employee and will prove to be an asset to whichever hospital
succeeds in recruiting her. Please contact me should you have any questions or need any
other information,
Sincerely yours,
