I'm contacting you in regards to the experienced music teacher position advertised on
GetMusicJobs and TheLadders for Chicago, IL as a guitar instructor. I am very interested
in further discussion of the position, as I know, my skills and experience are a perfect
match for what was described in the ad, as you will soon see when you review my resume.

My relevant qualifications include my Bachelor's Degree in Music, during which time I

gained much experience teaching students music theory, musicianship, ear-training, and
technique while giving my guitar lessons. I taught out of my apartment, in my rehearsal
studio, and out of students homes. Also of note is my position as Band Leader, I worked
as the coordinator, conductor, guiding each individual band member, promotional work,
creating a fun yet productive environment, recruitment, and writing lead sheets via
notation software. This allowed me to learn to teach in a group setting to those with very
limited musical knowledge, achieve the highest potential in each player involved, blending
a cohesive sound together, all the while maintaining high morale.

The skill set I now have developed through the years is a result of a culmination in
experience being a performer, leader, teacher, arranger, producer, composer, session
musician, etc I know I will be a valuable addition to your enriched music program.
Transportation is not an issue for me, nor is a high-speed internet connection. I can be
