Title of Activity:

Thumb Wrestling

Number of Teams & Group Size:


Participants to pair up (Groups of 2 or 3 people) with a partner
Minimum 2 people per group
No limit on the amount of teams

Logistics Needed:
None

Time Allocated:
10 - 20 minutes

Goal:
To successfully pin the thumbs of other people

Preparation & Set-Up:


None

Directions for Conducting the Activity:


1. Participants are to pair up, and lock their opposing hands together (as
shown).
2. Without letting go, they must use their thumb, to pin the thumb of the other
person.
3. Begin the activity. After each round, participants may find another person to
thumb wrestle with. Continue the activity for as long as you wish.

Specific Rules:
1. Participants are to lock opposing hands with other people (as shown).

2. Without letting go, they are to pin the thumb of the other person.

Variations:
1. Group Thumb Wrestling: Gather all participants together in 1 big circle.
Everyone crosses their arms to lock hands (as shown), with the person next
to them. Without anyone letting go, participants are to attempt to
simultaneously pin the thumb of the people next to them.
