SUMMARY
Performs Administrative functions such as process hourly payroll, administer
benefits, and workers compensation administration. Involves frequent contact with
personnel inside and outside the company requiring reasonable tact, discretion, and
an extensive knowledge of the benefits, policies, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
Process hourly payroll. Perform duties associated with payroll and record keeping of
hourly employees.
Maintain personnel files and all employee data bases (Payroll system, Training files,
operator licensing, time & attendance system).
Perform orientation for new hires and sets up pre-employment drug screens and
physicals.
Process unemployment claims.
Notifies team leaders of hourly employee annual reviews and scheduled merit
increases, and any past due reviews.
Tracks hourly attendance; maintain attendance and overtime logs; track hourly
vacations; and completes various associated reports.
Tracks and post hourly overtime monthly or per employee handbook guidelines.
Responsible for administering health care for the active employees including HIPAA
and FMLA compliance.
Administers other various benefits for the facility.
Assists with the coordination of luncheons, and other social activities.

Participates on the safety team.


Responsible for compliance with Affirmative Action Plan. Compiles and maintains
pertinent information related to EEO policy. Monitors Company's compliance with
EEO regulations.
Processes operator licensing paperwork and maintains database.
Processes workers compensation claims and maintains medical files and records.
Assists with other safety support as required.
Performs other H.R. and administrative related duties, as assigned.
Safety and health - Responsible for attending required safety training, reporting any
unsafe practices to appropriate management, and completing work activities in a
safe manner.
Internal contacts - Hourly and salaried employees.
External contacts - Health care and benefit and compensation carriers, and local
doctors.
Equipment used - P.C., telephone, calculator, Fax and copy machine
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities, but may train clerical personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
preferred; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. General and specific business
procedure knowledge. PC Literate
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports
and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Prefer SHRM and CPR certifications.
