Anti-Heeling System
System Overview
The Anti-Heeling System is designed for the continuous
compensation of the ships heel during all kinds of
loading operations in port and during offshore operations.
With over 20 years of experience, our systems have been
installed on different types of container, heavy lift, offshore
supply and construction vessels. Special heel control on
sailing ships for wind load compensation on cruise course
or ice heeling on ice breakers round up the wide range of
Anti-Heeling System applications.
The heeling compensation of the system is achieved
by pumping ballast water or other fluids between the
heeling tanks using reversible propeller pumps as well
as applications with centrifugal pumps. Pneumatically
controlled butterfly valves are standard parts of the
Anti-Heeling System.

Ice-Heeling
The Anti-Heeling System can be used for ice heeling
operations on ice breakers. It is used to heel the vessel
regularly from port to starboard so that the vessel does
not get stuck in ice. Such a system requires fast reaction
times and large heel moments. For higher capacities
Blower Anti-Heeling Systems are also available.
