Who am I? Who
could I be?
This activity was supposed to identify, with some support materials, the influence
of parents migration on the emotional life of the children. Through this practical
activity we wanted to consolidate the self-esteem and to develop the ability of
emotional segmentation. The students got worksheets:
Emotions and Behaviour;
I know you and I understand you;
A Personal Star.

Activity no. 3

Communication - a bridge to
your heart
This activity was proposed to help children to develop their relational competences by
creating real situations of interaction and communication in an equal way of other
situations, encouraging them to participate to the scholar life and the local activities.
There were discussions on different themes and situations:
How would
you react if I told you...;
How to say and accept a negative reaction/ response;
Life situations.

Activity no. 4

Helping people
The holly spirit of the Christmas made us think once again to the other people.
Together with the students involved in the project, we offered presents to the
children and students from the Day Centre Friendship, which has a close
collaboration with our school. Through this activity we wanted to help the children
develop their altruism and most of all, we wanted the students to understand that
there are other children who have different problems- emotional and financialwhich could be solved with the help of the other people.
Helping your mate is helping yourself!

Activity no. 5

The challenge of an
life
There were discussions with theindependent
children about planning their free time activities
and there were some suggestions made about planning them, such as The list of
10. We insisted on the balance between work and recreation or rest. There were
suggestions made and debates with the children about spending money. The PPT
presentation was about different situations:
Entertaining but not risky;
How do you prefer to rest?
What does money mean?
The best decision.

Activity no. 6

Independency and
health
There were discussions with the students
about the importance of health care.
The students were stimulated to think of different aspects of health. There were
also discussions emphasizing the healthy food, drinking alcohol, smoking, taking
drugs, personal hygiene and home hygiene. The PPT presentation had three
themes: Menu of the Day
What do we know about food?
NO alcohol!

Activity no. 7

The power of the

group
The students identify the healthy ways
to choose proper friends based on some
worksheets. There were analyzed some proverbs and sayings:
The group makes you thief, the group makes you honest
Bad companionships break up good behaviour
Tell me who your friend is and I will tell you who you really are

Activity no. 8

Rhythm and colour

This activity was a cultural-artistic one and we wanted to develop the childrens
sensitive and creative side so that they could discover music and drawing as a
hobby. The students drew pictures on different themes and the papers were
exhibited at the school library. There was a short artistic moment- the play The
wonderful world of childhood, adapted after the novels they have been
studying at school; they wrote poems and listened to music ( a different type they
are used to).

Activity no. 9

Together again
There was a round table meeting where the students were asked to present their
opinion about the activities they had attended. All the materials of the project worksheets, questionnaires, drawings, poems - were shown to the students.
The most important moment was the presentation of the magazine We are
children, too, in which there are the best moments of the project. Mr Diaconu
Temistocle, the mayor of the village, thinks that the activities of the project are
extremely welcome for the students of our community, considering the fact they
could be badly influenced, and the lessons about healthy life will be surely useful
to the children.
