This survey and analysis aims to obtain data about the electrical energy
consumption of the SAC, Education and CSC building for one month (April to May)
and provide appropriate action plan to any energy-related problem found during the
survey. This includes the efficiency of the room with respect to the comfort of the
students using it.
The data will be gathered by collecting the power rating of each appliance in
each location (rooms and offices) and monitoring their time of usage.

Data Analysis

Based on the tabulated data, it shows that most of the power consumption of
the buildings are from SAC Building, where a lot of Appliances and air conditioning
systems are being used simultaneously throughout the day. This is due to the fact
that most of the time especially from April-May is a summer time so that the usage
of air conditioning unit is maximized. Some of the bulb sockets in SAC are not
functioning and this is one way of wasting energy.
Faculty rooms in SAC building need additional outlets to prevent short circuits
because of using extension wires as a source of energy for doing many tasks like
charging, cooking in rice cookers, heaters ,and electric fans.
In Education rooms like in Room no.1 have 3 bulbs but only one are
functioning and they need to replace it for the convenience of the students and
some of the electric fans in room no. 2 are in need of repair .
In CSC building, 4 fluorescent bulbs are only functioning out of 8 and we need
to replace 4 bulbs with new bulbs.

Conclusion/ Recommendation
The action plan could not be accomplished due to the time
required to fulfil every task in the plan. Instead, the team
recommends that, anyone who is willing to conduct a survey
regarding the power consumption of the SAC, CSC building and
Education Room 1-3 should do their survey and analysis with
enough time to accomplish every task in their action plan.
Also, installing a sub meter in all buildings will allow anyone to
monitor their consumptions.
