Evenaftershehadlibertyshestilllostmanythingsdeartohershewasstilloppressedby
inequality,andbydefinitiontohavelibertymeanstobefreeofoppressionfromauthorityin
oneswayoflife.Theydidn'thaveahappilyeverafterbecausetheyweren'ttrulyacceptedas
theywantedtobe,andthatwouldhavebeenbeingfree.
RawlesdoesdescribelibertythewaySchulmanclaims:realistically.In

SchulmanclaimsthatRawlesrealisticallydescribesliberty,asthosewhowereonce
slavesstilldon'tfeeltheirfreedomastheyexpected.SincethebirthoftheAmericannation,
thosewhowantedfreedomthemostweren'ttheoneswhorepresentedrevolutionsorthosewho
aremostrememberedforit,butthosewhoweredeprivedoftheirfreedomandstillfought
besidestheirdeprivedtotogetfreedomforthem.Muchlikewomen,AfricanAmericanswanted
achancetobeasequallyfreeaswhitemen,butinsteadweredeniedthissocalledGodgiven
right.ModernAmericanisstillslowlylearninghowtogivefreedomtoallandnotoppress
anyoneswayoflife,behavior,orpoliticalview.
