includes all creation, deletion, and modification of the services.

If you need to modify any of the advanced service parameters

via the EMS, use the Synchronize command on NetMaster so
that NetMaster can update its database accordingly. Always
allow at least one minute for the Reconcile process to be
completed and for the NetMaster database to be updated.

To ensure that the most up-to-date information is displayed in

the views, use the Refresh command.

For IP-20 devices, ensure that the Admin State of the card is
set to Up:
On the chassis configuration.
On the Interface Manager.

If any configuration is carried out by the EMS, care should be

taken to:
Always set an SNP service point on NNI ports and an SAP
service point on UNI ports.
For each logical port associated with a specific service,
there should never be more than a single service point.
The same service Id should be chosen on each fragment of
the service (device) and the value must be unique within
the flow domain.

Feature Notes and Limitations

NetMaster supports TDM services management on IP20N/A/LH/G from version T7.7 and above.

NetMaster supports TDM services management on chain, ring,

mesh, and tree topologies. NetMaster does not support TDM
services management on IP-20C/S/E.

TDM services should be managed only via NetMaster. This

includes all creation, deletion, and modification of the services.

Should there be a need to modify any of the advanced service

parameters via the EMS, use the Synchronize command on
NetMaster so that NetMaster can update its database
accordingly. Always allow at least one minute for the Reconcile
process to be completed and for the NetMaster database to be
updated.

To ensure that the most up-to-date information is displayed in

the views, use the Refresh command.

For IP-20 devices, ensure that the Admin State of the card is
set to Up:
On the chassis configuration.
On the Interface Manager.
On the TDM Interface for E1/DS1 (relevant for LIC-T16

Protected TDM Services

1.2.7

From R14A02, NetMaster supports TDM path protection for both

IP-10 and IP-20 family devices. TDM path protection enables users
to define two separate network paths for a single TDM service.
Several types of path protection are available:

ABR (IP-10) or 1:1 (IP-20) Two separate network paths are

defined for the trail, an active path and a standby path. Each
trail has the same TDM interface end points, but traffic flows to
the destination via different radio interfaces. Bandwidth is
utilized only on the active path, freeing up resources on the
standby path.

Non-ABR (IP-10) or 1+1 (IP-20) Two separate network

paths are defined for the trail, both active. Each trail has the
same TDM interface end points, but traffic flows to the
destination via different radio interfaces. Unlike 1:1 path
protection, traffic flows through both paths simultaneously,
thereby supporting standard SNCP in third party equipment at
the other end of the link.
This type of protection is used for networks in which the
Ceragon network elements are set up as a chain connected to
third party networks at two different sites, where one end-point
is located on a Ceragon device and the other end-point is
located on third-party equipment supporting standard SNCP.

Dual Homing - Used for Ceragon units located at the network

edge in a 1+1 or non-ABR Protection configuration. Since the
node itself is part of the protected or protecting path, the node
itself is essentially unprotected and you do not need to
configure a separate protecting path.

Alarm-to-Service Correlation

1.2.8

From R14A02, NetMaster provides an Alarm to Service correlation

feature. For each alarm raised on an IP-20, IP-10, or XPAND-IP
device, the user can display a list of all the confirmed end-to-end
services that are affected by the alarm. A single list of all Ethernet
and TDM services is displayed. By selecting an individual service
from the list, the user can navigate to the service perspective to
display the complete details of the service.
Feature Notes and Limitations

No support for IP-10 network elements in pipe mode

No support for IP-10 network elements in 2+2 or 2+0

configuration.

A license is required to use this feature.

After the upgrade to R14A02, you must open the Services List
view, delete all services from database only, and re-confirm
these services so that they will be affected by the active
alarms.

Only new alarms raised on IP-10 after the upgrade will have
correlated services.

Alarms raised on the STM-1/OC-3 card with the higher slot

number in an STM-1/OC-3 protection group are not counted as
being service-affecting.

view, delete all services from the database only, and reconfirm these services so that their severity will not be empty.

Only new alarms raised on IP-10 after the upgrade to R14A02

will affect the severity of the TDM services.

TDM services list view scoped on a network element is not

updated automatically with alarm severity changes.

Alarms raised on the STM-1/OC-3 card with the higher slot

number in an STM-1/OC-3 protection group are not counted as
being service-affecting.

CLI Script Broadcast

1.2.15

From R14A02, NetMaster provides a convenient CLI Script

Broadcast function that enables commands contained in script
files to be issued to a user-selected list of IP-10 and IP-20 network
elements.
NetMaster imports the text file containing the CLI script. A telnet
session is established with each of the devices one at a time,
sequentially, and in the order defined by the user. Each command
in the script is issued over the telnet session. Commands are
issued serially and only after the previous command has been
completed.
The output appears on screen and can also be saved to a file.
Feature Limitations

No support for scripts executed with root user.

No support for commands that generate a very long output,

such as showing the events log.

No support for Unix commands.

The script file must be no larger than 100KB.

The script output must be no larger than 10MB.

User password changes are not supported.

Feature Notes

This feature can only be used with IP-10 and IP-20 network
elements.

It is recommended to add the command cli_debug no-less in

the beginning of the script to instruct the device not to wait for
the user input to display the next page of the output.

It is not recommended to run a script for the first time using

NetMaster. Instead, the commands should first be validated
manually.

It is not recommended to run both configuration and

monitoring commands in the same script. This is to avoid a
situation in which the execution terminates in the middle as a
result of the output size.
