A Prism of Mind Balanced Against Egotistical Barriers

Omar Alansari-Kreger
Hopelessness is regarded as one of the worst displays of despair. The demoralization of man is
made through the breaking of his soul. When condemned to a realm of nothingness, there is
nothing left to lose. From here, it is the idea of man that saves man from the devices of his own
intellectual destruction.
Works that display the sublimity of genius are often idolized in some of the worst
examples of affection to our fellow man. What do the ingenious hope to acquire out of an
intellectual legacy? The rawest marrow of mind is found in the malleability of ideas. Does the
dedicated academic, in their most institutionalized form, devote a lifes work to something
associable with an everlasting eulogy of their intellect? The scholarship of the academic is
jeopardized when the basis of their work is bent on carrying their ego into the next century. Thus,
the originated pretention that motivated the undertaking of such scholarly effort is corrupt shortly
after its inception. This implies that an intellectual legacy will inexorably give way to an
inevitable abomination of intelligence. The most certain eventuality that confronts all forms of
human posterity arrives with the trepidation of death.
This specifically attests to the mortality of an idea in all of its nuances. A cult of death
means many things to different groups of people, but we negate the pinnacle of its repugnancy
which is decreed through the glorification of self which undermines the humility of our human
intellect. There is this tacit expectation of an elevated capability that is had when one academic is
celebrated and embraced as a cultural enigma. The developmental marrow of mind is measured
by its insatiability for growth; the virtue of which expands into an ever expanding realm of
consciousness that refuses to accept the restorative proportionality of mind. There are no
shortages of causes that materialize in the form of revivalist movements; there is this
opportunistic call to restore the originality of an intellectual orthodoxy which demands the
originative holism of idioms, ideas, and ideation.
As long as there are superficial spoils that promise idolatrous glorification for the fruits of
human intelligence, schools of thought become exclusively confided to egocentric individualism.
This is where an equation of absolute corruption through absolute power arrives into the
spectrum of mind. An overindulged academic begins to believe in the mythical infallibility of
their ideas. The originality of thought is destroyed when the purism of its justice is compromised.
An academic is consumed with processes that demand the accumulation of titles, awards, and
honors; through that end, the big picture of scholarship is lost to its superficial spoils and
treasures. That implication leads to the qualitative stultification of the academic or in this case
the mainstream intellectual establishment.
The advancement of human knowledge is redeemed by a selfless dedication to the
sciences of intellect; that is an example of quantitatively substantive intellectuality. Hence, the
more intellectually astute the mind, the more awareness we will derive, as a species, to the reality

of the human condition in all of its corrosive forms. The idolatry of the mind is the surest way to
destroy the endless potential of the human intellect. Salivation made over an academic ego
reaffirms academia as the ominous gatekeeper of human intelligence. The greatest example of
mastery made over the superficial spoils of intelligence is recognized in our ability to reject the
idolatrous nature of an otherwise aesthetical universe.
One principle that continues to stand the test of time affirms that ideas are everlasting, but the
people that coin them are temperamentally transient which is indicative of the infinite finitude of
human intelligence.
