templates.
Each student student will submit a written document for the following
questions.
1. In class today you will review and discuss technologies ties to:

Blooms Taxonomy
NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) for Teachers
NETS for Students
MoStep see section 1.2.11 (see page 4 of document)

See course shell for links to the above sites. Review each website and give a
general review of the information and how it was presented. Include your
impressions both positive aspects as well as any negative aspects you
perceive
RESPONSE
Blooms Taxonomy I was unable to access the website directly the URL
must have changed. I was, however, taken to the pdf file which explained
Blooms taxonomy. I found this to be very well written and informative.
NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) for Teachers I
made a direct hit on this web site and landed at

http://www.iste.org/standards/iste-standards/standards-forteachers. I found this web site to be focused on teachers and

educational standards of various types. My initial impression was that it
was somewhat commercialized and definitely oriented to selling stuff.
NETS for Students - I made a direct hit on this web site and landed at
//www.iste.org/standards. I found this website to be slightly more
informative and less commercialized than the previous one.
MoStep see section 1.2.11 (see page 4 of document) again I was
unsuccessful in finding this website so there is not much for me to say other
than that the search criteria needs to be refined/updated.

2. Using Microsoft Office to enhance personal productivity and professional

practice
SmartArt
Select a SmartArt template from the menu bar of MS Word. Search
through the templates and select one to play with. Your SmartArt
document could be applicable to a class you have had in the past or one that
you will be taking in the future.
RESPONSE see attached file named Smart Art Physics (assignment 1)
3. Use the link to the Templates for Teachers and select a possible template
that you could use in your classroom. Complete and submit the template your
group selected.
Templates for Teachers
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT010281918.aspx
RESPONSE I eventually ended up at the following URL http://desktoppub.about.com/od/templatesword/tp/School_Word_Templat

Templates for School. I selected and completed the following template
syllabus. See the attached file - Syllabus (assignment 1).
4. Submit a brief paragraph describing at least 2 additional templates you
found interesting and how you could use them in your classroom.
RESPONSE I could have used a number of the potential templates. There
were tons of them available. For example, the seating chart templates and
the travel expenses templates. These templates were freely downloadable
(a real plus) and easy to customize.
