In Germany, the country was in a depression before the rise of Hitler.

Before the rise of Hitler,

Worldwide economic depression had hit and millions were out of work. (www.ushmm.org)
There was not enough employment so an agglomeration of people were jobless. Germany was trying to
handle the great recession that was occurring. So, Hitler was able to gain control because of their
desperate need for a great ruler. Germany was desperate for money after World War One. When they
suffered a horrible defeat, Germany was economically devastated.( http://www.history.ucsb.edu) Germany
needed someone to save the country and bring the nation out of depression. Hitler said he would make
Germany great again. When Hitler came into power, he appealed to Germany. Hitler had a way with
words and speeches. He was able to catch most of the country's population with his promises of a new
life. Hitler was a powerful Speaker He promised A better life. The Nazis appealed To the
unemployed, young people, and lower middle class (www.ushmm.org). Everyone thought it would be
Hitler who brought them out of depression and who gives them the life they want.
Hitler won the majority of voters by being sympathetic and nurturing to children and adults. He
was extremely friendly to the population and he helped out as much as he could to become a great man
in the publics eye. He tried to gain the public's trust, mainly focusing on the middle class. Hitler quickly
gained popularity in Germany because Hitler promised work for the unemployed, prosperity for
business, peace, and return to the past glory of Germany (www.theholocaustexplained.org).
Hitler gained popularity by being sympathetic to the poor and being nurturing to children He also gained
power by promis[ing] work for the unemployed, prosperity for businesses, peace, and return to the
past glory of Germany (Ingram, 56). Hitler gained the trust of the people.
Hitler began to gain power and higher officials were pleased with what they saw in him. He Hitler
began forcing organizations, political parties, and state governments into line with Nazi goals and
leadership. Hitler gained the trust of most of Germany and soon, he had more power. Finally, Hitler was
able to have his own say without anyone disagreeing with him (www.ushmm.org).
Hitler began to use the first method of keeping complete control was through the use of terror (The
Holocaust). Hitler grew in power so quickly by enforcing strict rules and laws so people would obey. He
gave full control to the police to do anything they wanted for any reason. Hitler was growing power each
day and no one dared to stop him in the position he was already in Hitler did gain the trust of the
Germans in the first couple of years. Everyone trusted him because Hitler revived the economy
unemployment [And]... had dropped production and income double (). He took power by showing
the country that he was able to take care of them and bring them out of depression (Forgotten Holocaust).
Everyone thought Hitler actually increased employment and helped Germany with its economic
depression but he just took out some important factors of the data. For, example, Women [And]... Jews
were not included in employment and taken out of statistics (The Holocaust, 21). When women, Jews,
and men were cut out of the statistics, it changed the number of people and jobs. What Hitler did was
similar to a magician. Hitler changed what he wanted to change and the rest of society was fascinated
with the results and believed his work. Hence, why they trusted him and decided he was best to take
power ().
The Nazis gave opportunities for jobs and introduced public work schemes for men who worked
in the National Labour Service (The Holocaust, 26). Working in the National Labour Service increased
the amount of jobs so the men were able to support their families. Later, Law removed Jewish doctors...
[And]... Jewish students (The Holocaust,). Limiting the number of Jews in the workforce created positions
for Germans and so, the numbers for employment increased. After they replaced Jews with Germans,
stopped counting Jews in the workforce, the unemployment rate decreased. Thus, showing inaccurate
representations of the work force. Hitler was doing a great job on convincing the country that he had been
doing terrific on things like unemployment rates and other important things but soon, a major
catastrophe would occur (The Holocaust, 128).
Hitler started losing to the English and Americans. He was beginning to fail at his goals and when the
battle of Rosenberg came around, Hitler was shaken and injured (Forgotten Holocaust, 185). No one
couldve predicted the defeat they started to have after their good fortune. After D-day and when the

opposing countries tried to catch him, Hitler had committed suicide. (A complete History of the
Holocaust, 194)
His wife, Eva, committed suicide with him. Hitler used a gun and she used some pills. They were both
dead by April 30.1945 ().
