Though sometimes used by the people interchangeably they are not the same
thing, Instead they have a particular relation. You can understand the relation with
the below simple analogy
Thus you can pretty easily calculate your household electrical energy consumption
on your own for e.g.
Your Load
2 Hundred Watt Bulbs = 100 * 2 = 200W
1 Fridge = 180W
3 Fan = 60 * 3 = 180W
Thus your total load is = 200 + 180 + 180 = 560 W
Lets suppose you run the above all day & night then time = 24 Hours
Now your Total electrical Energy Consumption is = Power * Time = 560 * 24 =
13440 Wh = 13.44 KWh
Now if cost of 1 Unit of Energy is = 6 Rupees, then your per day expenditure of
running that load
= 13.44 KWh * 6 = 80.64 Rupees.
