READING & In Reading, students will engage in imaginative play, enacting simple characters or situations. They will
WRITING express feelings, thoughts and opinions, and attempt to use complete sentences.
In Writing, students will visualize a picture before drawing it and think of an idea and share it (turn and talk).
They will practice sounding out words to write a simple sentence that tells what is happening in a picture.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Sunday, May 29th – Letter Z – Zoo Day. Students may dress up as their favorite animal. This will complete our Alphabet Days.

Sunday, June 5th – 11:00 – 12:00 - End of the School Year Program in the EMS Gymnasium. KG2 classes have paired up
with a buddy class and will be presenting a variety of songs, poems, and dances. Students need to wear their school uniform
for the performance. (PE kits must be brought to school to change into if your child has PE on that day. That would include:
Eagles, Flamingos, Hoopoes, Hummingbirds, Owls, Swans). Due to space constraints, this performance is for parents only - No
siblings, nannies, drivers, or other family members. Thanks so much for your understanding! Children must be picked up from
their classroom after the performance. You may not take your child from the gym. An early out slip will not be necessary to
collect your child.

Summer school hours begin on Sunday, May 29th. Class will run from 8:05 – 12:25. Please make note of the times and tell
your drivers and nannies as well. The gate for ECC will open at 7:20. Students will not be allowed inside the campus before
7:20a.m. The ECC building doors will open at 7:45a.m. Parents and students may wait in the cafeteria or under the bus shelter
before school begins. Please do not come into the building before 7:45a.m. as teachers will not be in their classrooms
before then. Please pick up your child by 12:25. Thanks so much for your help in this change!

Photo Order – Parents, please take your photo orders and money to the Administration building for collection.

Please make sure to send extra water and a hat labeled with your child’s name to wear during recess.
