Make a list of ways you can befriend a new person at your school. If you
were that new person, how would you like to be treated?)
Reflection:
Once again this lesson seemed to go very well today. The students are
very interested in the story and continue to bring forth meaningful
discussion, ideas and predictions for the story. If I were to do this
lesson again, I would allow for additional time for the lesson. We tried
to fit the lesson in before lunch and needed about an additional 5-10
minutes to complete our journal question. We were able to improvise
and read the questions to the students immediately before lunch, and
instruct them that when they came back they were to write down their
thoughts on the question.
