Hitler was a despicable man but a good leader.

He led his people with confidence but

lacked the mental health to actually help his people. Other than the mass genocide of 11 million
people and the horrible things he did he was basically like everyone else in society, power
hungry and selfish. He abused his power and became known to the world as one of the most
infamous dictators in history.
Germany was in deplorable condition when Hitler rose to power, the citizens of Germany
craved a new leader to bring them out of their nationwide depression and Adolf Hitler just so
happened to fit their mold. Hitler was a part of the Nazi party of Germany which, at the time,
was gaining widespread popularity. The reason the Nazi party rose to power so fast was due to
the widespread hatred of the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles stripped Germany of
its wealth and power. After World War 1 Germany continued to spiral down into depression.
Germanys decline was not the only factor to Hitler gaining power though. Not only was the
country in really bad condition, but so were the peoples logic. The people were suffering and
couldnt stand the conditions much longer. Hitler used these peoples suffering to make himself
look good and to motivate the German people. Hitler appealed to the unemployed and young
(USHM, 11). He used his charisma and great speaking quality to worm his way into the German
peoples hearts. Hitler used his status and ideals to appeal to the people. He became friendly and
close with German citizens, he basically used publicity to gain support. Another huge thing is
that Hitler promisedreturn to the past glory of Germany (Ingram,1).By gaining the support
of the people his friends in the Nazi party could still harass and attack innocent Jewish people for
the simple fact of them being Jewish and get away with it. Adolf Hitler gained the peoples trust
quite quickly, using a false sense of security to aid his campaign he was able to continue to trash
the Jewish people while still gaining wide popularity. He used persuasion and empty promises to

fulfill his goals. Hitler was a powerful and spellbinding speaker (USHM,2) twisting the truth
and lying until the very end. After Hitler gained enough power, he began forcing organizations,
political parties, and state governments under Nazi leadership (USHM,2). He used his power
as boss man of the Nazi party to regulate culture and society. He kicked all of his other
opponents out of the county and eliminated any competition. Soon all of Germany was in
Hitlers grasp. Hitler began to use his powerful voice to pick up more support. He also used his
manipulation to create a set of policies. Hitler carried out a set of policies Which legally made
him the absolute leader( Noor,4). He tricked the other people of power in Germany to give him
a majority of the power so that he could control everything.
Hitler and the Nazi government began to tax the German people while also raising
interest rates. He sold bonds to the citizens, even though the bonds could not be cashed in until
after the fall of the Reich. He stopped black market sales and he intervened into the economy.
Intervention into the economyled to full employment during the 1930s( Ayer, 95), Although,
real wages in Germany dropped by roughly 25% between 1933 and 1938( Ayer, 95). Despite
Hitlers hatred he was able to raise the economy quickly and actually helped what he considered
his people. While statistics were being figured out many other factors changed the results.
Women were no longer factored in and policys helped keep the employed, employed. A
number of policies were introduced which caused the unemployment figures to drop( History
Learning Site, 9). One of which was basically, do the job your given or get sent to a
concentration camp. In other words work or die. Hitler wanted to use his power to unite all of
Europe. When Hitler came to power he was determined to dominate Europe.(??) He wanted
to unite all of the people in Germany and in Germanys conquered lands. He had great ideas and
ideals, Make Germany great again. Hmm remind you of someone, well in this situation im gonna

compare Hitler to trump. He wanted a great country but had no logical way to reach it. Hitler
abused his military power greatly. Military opposition was also punished.(bio.com,1)He killed
his opponents and publically discussed his opinion with drinking and eating meat with the
public. He also told people of the dangers of smoking but in the back ground was smoking up
some Jewish people. Speaking of his displeasure with the killing and consuming of animals I
find it mighty strange that he would be ok with massive amounts of people. Despite the fact he
never actually visited any of the concentration camps.
Hitler used propaganda Combined with the use of terror to intimidate (Ayer, 56) the
people of Germany. He used propaganda promoting the extermination of the Jewish people and
of those who opposed him. By scaring away hi opponents Hitler became all powerful. Hitler was
still being petty and arresting all of his competitors. Adolfs paranoia took over to the point
where anyone who spoke out against him was punished. They held political opponents without
trial and under conditions of great cruelty(USHM,3). By the year 1933 the Nazi party was the
one and only political party in Germany. BY getting rid of all the other competition no one could
take power from Hitler, or so he thought. Germany was falling back down, the soldiers were
dying in masses and the aging leader of the Germans had no intention of abandoning Warsaw
(Ayer, 78). Over 40,000 persons were killed in the Hamburg firestorm while three quarters of
the city was destroyed. Adolf Hitlers flaws started to become extremely apparent to his people.
Some gained some common sense and realized how bad of a leader he was while others
remained oblivious to his crippled mind. Another reason Hitler lost mass amounts of power was
the fact that he didnt understand the situation the soldiers in Russia were facing. Hitler's armies
were not able to withstand the harsh Russian weather( Ayer, 79).They were starving and

freezing to death. Those who didnt freeze were killed in battles against the Russian army. While
Hitler partied his people slowly died.
In the end Hitler killed himself to escape persecution for his crimes. Many other Nazi
leaders were either caught, killed, or they ended up killing themselves. Hitler was a delusional
criminal with mass amounts of power that went to his head. Hitler was one of the many worst
people in history.
